Speaking of which, Veena, we would love for you to do specific lessons on lollipop uses 🙂 We have been experimenting, but I am excited to see what you come up with.

We’ll see about lessons 🙂 How do you keep your lolly from moving as in turning inside the pole? Mine doesn’t stay in place, I believe he’ll be sending me something to fix the problem. I’ve only played on it the one day so far because of the twisting. I’m excited to work with it though, and LOVE the color and finish!!

Can you let us know if there was a fix?
When it moves inside, does the pole spin as well? At the same time?

The pole its self could spin with it on, but I don’t use on spin right now because the Lyra doesn’t stay in one place. But once that is resolved, yes spin mode would be fun!

Ours was designed to fit on the x-joint, and I think has a slot to fit the aligner on the x-joint. We use ours in spin mode, but the lyra moves with the pole.

I have the xpole stage lit and wanted to know if anyone knows how I can get that powder coated so I can get one of the lol pop Lyra to match it?

If you send me the pole sections I can powder coat them to match the lyra. As long as the pole pieces are not longer then 8 ft.

Our items were made by Dorian, yes. Also in regards to powder coating, I recently had a pole done before a student showcase, the time frame was short, so I looked locally. I found a powder coating facility that fit my pole in their schedule and charged me $50.

I tried a couple of things today. next time I will try to video. it was very sloppy! haha! I did a weird invert onto it, then a knee hang, and an “arabesque” which I saw on an aerial hoop video on youtube. inverting onto it was very hard for me. Veena, do you find the lyra to be very painful on your legs? I was surprised by it. I dont wear leggings either. Like you mentioned before, I want to stick with my skin. I did try leggings and it was just too scary. I tried to do a jade type move but got scared. Im gonna have to work my way up to that. it was just kind of scary feeling, think i’m so used to pole. but it was fun. I’m just gonna do a little bit each time I pole and introduce myself to it that way so I dont get overwhelmed by it.

With the bare metal lyras, I’d only do bare skin, or grippy type material, just like pole. We wrap our lyras in grip tape for leggings.

I’ve been doing lyra on and off for a few years. I can think of a few amazing moves, but it’ll still be months before I have one of these. I can’t wait to start working on it. As soon as I do, I’ll post videos for sure, just like I’m doing for pole silks.

Yes, with PC or metal you have to have skin contact. I have wrapped my lyra before and just didn’t like the feel of clothes on grip tape, I think because I’m use to the strong contact I get with skin only. I find the small diameter of the lyra to be more painful on knee pits and elbow pits for sure!!!

I’ve had my lyra for just over a yr now but I’ve only used it maybe 10 times.

Anyone have any updated idea on stability oc the hoop on a fully assembled x-stage lite? I reallllly want to buy both an x-stage and the lyra(by fluidmetal) but I would really prefer it to be higher than just half set up… Would the lyra being hollow or solid make any difference?

I have had a lot of feed back on the Xpole and lollypoplyra. Some users feel safe using it at full height. Some use it at half height. I recommend securing the lyra from a rigging point above and use the equipment at full height to test your stibility before use. The solid lyra is heavier and will not advised more stability. If the pole is spinning it spin longer. The hollow lyra is completely rigid and lighter than the soliday and will provide the most stibility.

Thanks so much for your response Dorian! So hollow is the way to go for stability, and it does work at higher heights(assuming I’m comfortable), yaaaaay! I know Veena mentioned something to keep the lyra from moving, would I need to order that separately or does it come included?
