  • Knee pit grips :-(

    Hi girls, does any one else have a problem with knee pit grips? Im okay with Gemini, but any move where im in front of the pole, like figure head, I just cant seem to get my knee in the right position to have any sort of grip – my leg just slides right down!! Any advice on what I could be doing wrong?? Thanks :-))

    Are you warmed up? I need to be really warm to have a solid knee pit grip. I also use a bit of dry hands on the knee pits for extra stick. The other thing that really helped me was practising side climbs. 🙂

    Thanks Jen 🙂 I’ll definitely try and do the side climbs more often as I do tend to move passed these to get on to the ‘tricks’ 😉 perhaps I just need to be a bit more patient and go back to basics, it just seems to me that my knee doesn’t bend in the direction I need it too to get a grip if that makes any sense!

    For me I feel like my knee isn’t really responsible for gripping in a figurehead like it would be in a Cupid… Don’t get me wrong, it plays a part but I feel like the back of my thigh plays a big part. The more skin contact the better. Including a pic so you can see how much thigh and booty I have on the pole…

    I also feel like in figurehead its not like you’re holding on by your knee like in a Gemini…. It’s a push/pull thing.

    Thanks Alyson, that’s really useful…I can see in your pic that it’s more back of thigh than knee, which is kinda the same positioning as mine but I just need to work on the push/pull to stop me sliding down the pole! :))

    your armpit and bicep help in figurehead too. I dont knnow if you wear tank tops but I feel like tank tops can make things like figurehead impossible for me. and like allyson said, its the back of the thigh mostly.
