Kind of a random question but has anyone bought thigh high boots online before?
Posted by Ruby Stiletto on June 16, 2012 at 5:52 pmHello, hello everyone! I hope you all are having an amazing day! Ive ordered shoes online before but never boots. So im wondering if any of you have bought thigh high boots online? I know what my size is normally in regular high heels so Im not sure if it would be any different being a boot. Any opinions? 🙂

I have. Many size up for closed toe shoes (boots) but I buy the same size. I wear a size 8 for open toe, knee high, ankle high and thigh high platform shoes/boots. Check out the return policy from where you are ordering just in case your boots don't fit.

Yeah? I thought it would be better to order a size up being it would be a closed toe.. but maybe Ill take a chance and order my size! Most sites Ive checked out for return policy require you pay the shipping and a certain percentage for a restocking fee. :/ Do any of the sites you've ordered from have a different policy?

I bought some Pleaser thigh highs in a size 8 as my regular heels are a size 7 and I'd heard Pleaser are on the small side. 8's were way too tight! I contacted the lady and she was happy to swap them for me but she didn't have 9's in stock – as I'm so impatient (it was going to be 2-3 weeks) I opted for a 10 which she thought would be ok with thicker socks and they're fine. She had said that if the 10's were too big she would have been happy for me to send them back also and wait for the 9's. i paid for postage to send the 8's back to her but I think that's fair since it was me who made the mistake. She didn't charge me any restocking fee though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I wear 8.5 in street shoes but for platform heels I wear 8. I started out wearing 9s but then the vamp stretched out quick and the shoes got floppy on my feet. It is all about personal preference and you will find what works well for you with a bit of trial and error. I was surprised to size down but that works very well for me. Also in 9s on closed toe my foot slides around too much. I wear very thin socks with my boots so it is absorbant but also not so thick I would need to size up.
http://www.snaz75.com is my fav online store for shoes… and other really fun dancer stuff. You do pay return shipping and a restocking fee though (boo). Since I have a brand and size preference, this works great for me though because I do not need to return shoes.
Getting back to your inquiry though… http://www.endless.com offers free shipping and free returns with *some restrictions apply. They will probably have a little less variety but you can get a 'feel' for how the shoes fit for you. Do a search for "Pleaser' or "Pleaser Platform". I bet you can search for other shoe brand names too… just to see what else they might have. http://www.zappos.com used to carry Pleaser USA but I haven't seen them there for over a year.
Wishing you best of luck! You will find exactly what works for you.

I ordered from snaz75 once and got hit with so many customs, duty, and extra shipping charges on the delivery side that I swore to never order from them again. http://www.exotichighheels.com is a much more Canadian friendly site.
As for the shoe sizing, you should see if any of your local sex stores carry Pleaser shoes. A lot of them do. It helps to try some on in person to figure out your best size option, since returning shoes to the US is sufficiently expensive to generally not be worth the bother.

I was very happy with hotstrippershoes.com. Good prices, good customer service. I would go up a full size in a pleaser boot. They run small.

The Pole Dancing Shop.com accepts returns & carries Tonys shoes. It is recommended to size up for closed toed boots. Return shipping is non-refundable, however, they do not charge reshipping on exchanges.

Hey guys! I own an exotic dancewear boutique and have had many dealings with helping gals find the perfect fit…I always recommend sizing up when going for any closed toe option and it has always worked out well. The only exception I would say is if the person has a very narrow foot, then they might want to stay to their true size. Also, if you find that you cannot find a boot that fits right, I recommend looking into some open toed boot options, Pleaser has some great ones in an ankle or knee height. Good luck!
