I have had the lessons 2 times over the past 4 years so 2 years worth, the lessons are excellent value for money, I will renew again after I recover from thyroidectomy in October , as having a few months off pole will mean going back to basics.I really appreciate the site, and the time and effort put in to maintain it by webmaster and Veena, I feel I owe it to give back by purchasing the lessons. Too many people expect to get everything for free and do not give a thought to what costs are involved in providing such a great site, I paid $200 for 12 months lessons on another site that promised new routines for various pole eg sexy glow, inversion, pole strength, warm up every fortnight ,I did not get what I paid for and months went between any new routine being put up. I won’t fall for that again. Thank you Veena and webmaster for all you do.

    1. I agree wholeheartedly about Paypal… It may not be prefect, but it’s certainly the lesser of the evils.

QUICK STORY: My credit card was stolen, as was my husbands, and a few (I’m talking like 3 or 4) of my friends over the course of like 6 months… and we kept asking WHY? Then one of our friends got a new card and made 1 purchase… Chinese Food delivery… and BAM card # was stolen. Turns out we were all ordering online chinese food from the same place. We all contacted our CC companies but they really didn’t care who did it. The purchased were refunded, and the cards were canceled, they really didn’t care. We contacted the restaurant (maybe it was a rogue employee or a hacker? they had a right to know) but they didn’t care at all.. and basically said there is a risk any time we use a card online. It made me realize how insecure things are…

I do trust paypal.. and I completely understand why you use it.

    2. I do like the idea of seeing who has the lessons. I just didn’t want to create any divisions. I do think it would encourage more people to get the lessons…

Anyway I’m happy I have the lessons. 🙂

I get what everyone is saying. I have had my cc number stolen online. But i have had more problems with paypal and it was harder to fix because they freeze up everything and it took me forever to fix it. Some people hacked my paypal 2 times and tried to withdraw over 1000 from my checking account because of paypal. The only reason it didn’t go through was because the number i had stored had changed and I never updated it. It was from paypal,2 different times. I also had some horrible things from ebay which is why I refuse to use it. People were like “paypal and ebay are super secure”…Why do they have their own fraud department then lol.. They are secure but nothing is foolproof. My experience has been worse with paypal then using my card. It was more of a hassle to fix and correct my issues with paypal then it has been with my bank and cc. people think they have a sense of security using paypal and that is great but doesn’t mean things don’t go wrong with them everyday. Look up consumer complaints. They are a pain to deal with or it was when this happened to me. Thats just my story… Using anything online including paypal is a risk. I personally hate paypal. I’m not alone either.

I’m sorry to hear about your issues CrazyKosters. That sucks that you had so much trouble.

PayPal is not perfect but it is the most secure option for both the purchaser and the merchant. In the end its about exposure.

The fact that PayPal has a fraud department is one of the things that makes them so great. We don’t have the money to staff a fraud department but fraud is a major concern that any merchant who handles payments directly needs to worry about.

PayPal does have many complaints but to put it in perspective, PayPal handles millions of transactions and billions of dollars per day, far more than any cc network. It’s kind of like comparing Amazon to your local electronics store. There will be more registered complaints for Amazon because they are thousands of times larger than your local store.

The list of companies that have had credit card databases stolen in the last ten years reads like a roster of fortune 500s, yet PayPal has not had a broad data-breach in its history. Security and fraud detection is all they do.

I would like to make a suggestion for everyone who is concerned about security. Use different passwords on all your important accounts, including your email accounts.

Generally PayPal accounts aren’t hacked through PayPal but by gaining access to your email account and “resetting” the password. Your email account is the key to your digital life, anyone who gains access to your email account can generally gain access to any important online account you may have.

I use a tool called 1Password to maintain a separate password for every account I have. I don’t even know my passwords, 1Password does all the heavy lifting for me.

When you use the same password on multiple online accounts your data is only as secure as the least secure site you use. A traditional strategy used by hackers is to steal user data from low security sites then use bots to test that information against everything from iTunes to Banks to Amazon and the big email providers.

When you use a different password on every site, it doesn’t matter if a hacker gets one password they will not be able to access your other accounts because the login credentials are different on every account you have.

I get that and understand that. I personally think that using your cc or paypal both caries risks. Doesn’t matter. Also the fact that paypal and amazon etc.. are bigger so they are bigger better targets so to speak… I was just saying that comment about the fraud department because I had people saying it was impossible that happened etc.. “That don’t happen because they are big”… That don’t mean shit lol. That was my point about the fact that it happens.

I personally use my cc but I don’t just use it on any site or anything. I also never store my card number when I don’t have to (ie netflix etc). I put it in everytime to pay my bills etc even though that isn’t fool proof.. I had to redo my password 2 times already for my bank to pay my mortgage because someone trying to put in my password wrong. Anything online is risky. I also have a iso image saved on disk for my computer password that can get your password up to like 15 characters in 30 minutes because once that is lost, you cant ever get it back without re-doing your pc. Passwords can be hacked just the same. Even through a company that stores passwords. My point was that it doesn’t matter, doing anything online can be risky whether you use paypal or a cc. The fraud department told me that they gained access to my paypal account, whether it was through email or what I don’t know. I never click on links through my email and try my best to be smart but it can happen no matter what.

I agree CrazyKosters. Any payment method carries risks, we simply choose to use the one that is empirically safer for both parties.

I was under the impression that one can pay with a credit card via PayPal without needing to sign up or have an actual PayPal account.

Is that option not available for SV lessons?

ferrous, sometimes this option is available. It’s based completely on an algorithm that takes into account your location what you are buying and many other factors.

Because apparently I’m full of suggestions and have no filter*….

How about a kickstarter for something? Maybe for an app? There is no pressure if it doesn’t meet its goal. I was so pumped and excited watching the the PDA book get funded!

And my brothers company has a kickstarter right now… and I asked him all these questions from someone relatively unfamiliar with the process… like “what if you don’t get funded… are you still going to make that product?” and his answer was… hopefully, but this will help it happen sooner rather than later… ALSO (and a big also) it a big advertisement… even the people who do not donate to that particular project may check out their webpage and buy a different product already in production.

And I think kickstarter uses Amazon not paypal if that eases anyone fears.

*I’m a loud brain-stormer… and that how I work. I talk things out, throw out a ton of ideas, maybe some will stick, some will be helpful…. and if I’m lucky they all won’t suck.

Ok, I have your lessons, but I’m a little bummed because to watch them on my TV I’d have to go through quite a few hoops, and I love to put things on my TV to watch as my Pole is in living room area instead of an alternate room. I have a Roku already, if there was a chance to put the lessons on a private Roku channel I would be so very very happy. It would be much more useful to me personally than having it work on ipad. (though may not be cost effective)

For our small team maintaining a Roku channel is probably not on the horizon, but I can give you a couple tips.

Getting video to your TV is really easy with the right tools:

If you have iOS devices such as iPads, iPods or iPhones an AppleTV will allow you to stream anything from your device to your TV.

If you have an Android device a Google Chromecast will allow you to stream anything from your device to your TV.

Ecosystem becomes really important when we start talking about device streaming. Roku while still popular is beginning to struggle against ecosystem devices like AppleTV and Chromecast.

    Oh, good thinking Olivia!!!

or like laminated flash cards with pictures of the moves on them… Maybe even the kind that are on a big ring. Something like that could be cool… and you can change the order around, or have a few piles or rings, depending on what you’re working on…

Could be a fun project that would be something people could purchase… and add too… and it would get people hooked on seeing Veena smiling face!

I read most of the postings…but not all so excuse me if I missed a similar idea. My problem is I would be happy to “lock” into a year of lessons for $99. What I mean is that I don’t like having to pay 99 up front but also why would I pay 20 for one month when you can get a whole year for 99. This is the reason that I honestly have not signed up for lessons again. I come back to the page often and I’m luck “ugh I really want to sign up but thats too much up front for a year but 20 for a month seems too much”
Therefore, my suggestion would be to allow 6 month or 1 year “lock in” rates, meaning one can agree or contract into a year of access for $99/year but let user either pay up front or only charge 8.25 per month. If the user does not want to continue access then they have to still continue to pay. This is how my studio does the pricing. a 6 month membership may be slightly more expensive giving people incentive to sign up for the full year.
    What do you think?

One drop in lesson costs 25.00! 20.00 a month is not to high at all. At a studio, you pay 25.00 per lesson and get an hour. Here, you pay 100.00 and get a year and access to all the lessons you want. Just another thought there for ya.

It was over 2 years before I joined and started paying for lessons, and there was a combination of reasons why I bought my first subscription. My initial hesitation was being a pole virgin and I was taking classes in Boston. Having no idea what was going on or what I was doing, I felt more comfortable having a physical person with me. But after my first four classes ($160 later and the end of their beginner session, which constituted of 3 air borne swings, 2 pole transitions, floor and wall dancing, and chair)

I had been stalking YouTube enough that I figured I could teach myself since my instructor was a former exotic dancer of 18 months and is amazing. With her graduating and moving out of state I was self training via YouTube, when one of your lap dancing lessons graced my screen. This was last fall, I had been teaching beginner pole and chair/lap/strip tease, and saw your video of the inverted lap dance. It is my signature move, and I love teaching it.

I had also received your email for $20 off and bought myself an early Christmas present. I also bought one of Cleo the Hurricane DVDs earlier for $70 when it was first released, and I am not an advanced poler, nor am I made of rubber. So that DVD had started to gather dust due to my being made of stone compared to miss Cleo’s flexibility.

This is why I will be renewing my membership. You offer the best, most comprehensive, easy to understand and execute stretches. I have more flexibility in some places, but not others like my hip flexor. I love that you take into account Everyone’s range of motion.

I would have joined sooner if I was aware of how comprehensive your stretching and conditioning videos are. Might I suggested expanding your brand image to overall pole health, since I glanced over many of the comments and it seems one of the major reasons people do not commit (outside of lack of time/schedule) is everyone is progressing faster than veena can post new material. It seems presently your branded only for your pole lessons.

I had hurt myself poling messing up my knee and had to do 6 months of PT, I didn’t realize how important it is to stretch. You should focus on stretching too and spread the word about your hooping as fun or cross training, so fools like me don’t self train without proper stretching and hurt themselves.

I also didn’t know what my hip flexor was till I joined this site, and now that I have been properly stretching, it is amazing how great my body feels.
