I just ordered my x-pole!!!

After finding out that you can, in fact, make an x-pole fit 7′ ceilings, I semi-impulsively placed my order for my 50mm chrome x-pole! Semi-impulsively = I have been thinking about making the investment to get one, but at the same time, it took my husband and I only a 3 minute conversation to figure out where to scrounge up the other half of the money for it literally out of thin air.
Despite me dipping into my emergency fund for this, I’m already glad I did it. I thought about getting a permanent pole but my husband and I live in a mobile home and won’t be here forever, so I wanted to get a pole we could take with us and that would also fit with no hassle. This way, we get a pole that will fit just about anywhere now.
It’ll be here sometime next week, then I can get rid of this stupid carmen electra pole… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

MY X-POLE IS HERE!!!
I just put it up and am busy cleaning up the aftermath of packaging in the living room, but I wanted to let everyone know. Already just from tugging on it and such to make sure it’s up securely, I can tell it’s much MUCH better than the electra-pole. I haven’t done any moves yet because I have a toddler on my heels, but when nap-time comes around for her I am SO on it!
We once again had to rearrange our bedroom to make room for it, and I even made my husband get rid of some clothes so we can share a dresser…

Yeah I was seriously wondering if you had another fall on the pole and really hurt yourself. I just opened my new x-pole and see that it does’nt screw into the ceiling like my old pole. has anyone had a problem with it slipping? My husband is not going to like this, he insisted I get a new pole after my old one started lossening up. I’d have to screw it tight every time I practiced and it even popped off a couple of times,(my sexy little pole, like the ones you get at spencers, total crap!!) is there any way to mount this more permanetly, i see you can put up a plate, but I’m not sure even this will convince him he’s not going to come home to me crumpled on the floor with a broken neck, ya he’s that pariniod.

The X pole doesn’t screw into the ceiling!! That’s what makes it so great…you can put it where ever you want. Just be sure to read the instructions for putting up the pole….one thing they don’t mention, in the US our joist are farther apart then the UK where X pole was created. You will want to place the pole on center of ONE joist not spanning TWO. for more X pole tips please read this thread…find it under the topic dance poles

And Heather, my first pole was a pole I got at Spencer’s, too – the carmen electra pole. I went the extra lengths to screw it to both the ceiling and the floor. The x-pole doesn’t do either and it feels SOOO much more solid!! I’ve never had it slip, either. Just make sure everything is tight when you put it up and check on it before you use it. Jungle Cat had quite the tumble on his not too long after getting it, but it was user error on his part (no offense, Jungle – trying to instill some confidence in the x-pole here! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif )

If you install your x-pole properly it will not fall down!! It works on pressure, thats why there are no ceiling fixtures. That’s what makes the x-pole so brilliant. U can move it from room to room without having to ruin your ceilings with screws. Please watch the dvd and read the installation instructions, its very important. The only reason Jungle Cat’s pole fell is because in his excitement at getting his pole he didnt screw it tight enough! (Correct me if Im wrong Jungle xx)
