OMG!!! Our local newspaper has scheduled an interview with me tomorrow at 1pm!! They want to know more about my pole business!! WOOOOOWHOOOOOO!!!! I recently registered my trade name "Total Woman" with the state and they have to publish a notice for new business's, it is required by the Secretary of State...HOWEVER...they aren't required to interview...I'm so STOKED!!! Even if they twist it, it's still letting people know it's finally ARRIVED in North Dakota!!!! I have this forum and VEENA to thank for everything!!! You ladies and gents gave me the courage and confidence to live my dream, and VEENA gave me the tools!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!

OKAY!! I am so FRICKIN NERVOUS about this interview...I couldn't sleep last night!! I don't want to blow it, it's my chance to influence a change in attitudes (I hope) about pole and the benefits! Since I don't have any friends here to support me, I'm looking to all of you for that...could really use some encouragement and positive thoughts right now!! LOL Wish me luck cause this is for all of us!!! *HUGZ*

Thanks Ladies!! They have postponed my interview from 1pm to 2 pm...I'm glad cause it gives me a bit more time to prepare lol

WELL...I think the interview went well....so well he wants to do more research and finish the story with coming to one of my parties with a photographer and interviewing some ladies! I talked to a client of mine that has been wanting to do a party with her friends....she said she will see if they can do it soon!! I'm still on pins and needles about how this is going to turn out, he spent an hour with me recording our interview....I was so nervous I forgot a few things!! LOL anyway that's the update!! 😀

Awesome!!! I remember when bay news nine wanted to come and interview me about my whip making! ahh! 😮 It was so scary at first and then I relaxed because I was talking about something I love and know alot about. I'm sure you did wonderful! We all owe you big time for representing our art! Awesome! I'm so happy for you. Pinky 😀

Update...I have canceled the rest of the interview and have requested the paper not publish my story. I am giving up my business as I can't find a place that will allow me to lease to teach pole fitness/dance. I don't have the strength to fight this fight anymore...maybe someone younger with more support can finish what I started. Peace all!

Oh no! What happened? I don't know any of the details of this situation, but I hate to hear the defeat in your words! Would you not consider teaching privately out of an office or your home perhaps?

Perhaps the interview and publicity will help you find someone willing to lease. If perhaps you mention some of the problems you are having, perhaps someone will step forward that wants your money.

Why not keep going with the pole parties and maybe privates/semi-privates? Since you don't need studio space for those, and you'd still be able to spread your love of pole and health. Then maybe in time you can expand to studio classes. Also, you could use the parties and privates to get the word out that you're looking for studio space to rent/lease. Odds are that you meet someone that way who loves your classes, and personally knows someone renting out such a space. In which case they can put a good word in for you or recommend you from personal experience. Just trying to brainstorm a little here. But if you decide to pull out alltogether that's very understandable too!! It's too bad, but if you're done, you're done. Maybe it just wasn't the right time. Regardless of your decision, I wish you the best of luck! I'm sure you'll be just fine!

OKAY LADIES!!!! I'M BACK!! LOL BOXING GLOVES ON and ready to FIGHT for our right to POLE!!!! I have the reporter scheduled for this Thursday at my niece's apt (he called me Friday evening and wasn't letting me give up..he's not from here originally and is a little familiar with the pole movement! HELL YEAH!!). She has been taking lessons with me and helping me with parties...she has agreed to be interviewed during her session and allowing a photographer from the paper to come in as well!! GOD BLESS HER!!!! I hope they like my magenta hair!! HA HA

HELL YEAH!!!! The reporter came this evening and my niece and I had an AWESOME session!!! SHE ROCKED THE POLE!!! The photographer was clicking like crazy with her mouth dropped and the reporter was like...WHOA!! He told me he will be hiring me for a session to get a better edge on the story...He is getting in published in the LIFE section of the paper....FRONT PAGE!!!! He feels this is an awesome story about FITNESS and HEALTH!! I'm so STOKED!!!!

Thanks ladies, and a special TY to those of you that wouldn't QUIT on me or let me quit on myself!! It started out being an article for the Business section of the paper for new area Business's....BUT, he was so impressed by POLE during the 1st interview he wanted to learn more and research it himself...now the LIFE SECTION...that is HUGE HERE!!! Which also means by making it into that section of the paper there will be NO NEGATIVE twist on it!!! IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK TO MY USUAL FEISTY SELF!!! LOL
