  • How to fit longer extension into base?

Hi! I have a question concerning the installation of an x-pole! I hope someone can help me. This is the equipment: http://poledancecommunity.co.uk/images/stories/x-pole.jpg

It follows two extensions, one long, and one short. I wanted to use the long one, but it didn't fit into the base. Only the short one did? I could put the long one on top of the short one though, but in that case, the pole would be too high.

So I decided to only use the short extension and thought it would work. But when I was almost done with the installation, I noticed that the cover-piece doesn't entirley cover the
adjustment-piece. The pole reaches the ceiling, but it doesn't look good. There's a gap between the upper main pole and the upper plate.

Now I'm suspecting that I might have done something wrong and that I maybe would have been able to fit the long extension into the base if I just knew how. There seemed to be something within the base (?) but i couldn't remove it so I thought it just was supposed to be there.

My question is: Do anybody know if i can adjust the base so the longer extension fits directly in it. In that case, I don't want to use the shorter extension at all.

I would be so grateful for an answer. 🙂

This looks like the old style XPole.  Did you recently buy it?  XPole has not sold this style for a few years so if you just got it new there is a very good chance it is a fake.

As for installation, sorry, clueless on that style.

Oh… 🙁 I bought it by a friend who sells poles, I think I can trust her. She's originally from China and delivered it to me from Hong Kong. What does it mean that a pole is fake?

It means it is not a true XPole but a cheap knock off that looks like an X pole.

In this thread not only are there signs but XPole aslo chimes in to let you know if yours is real or fake.
