  How to challenge your YouTube takedowns

  I found a link to a video which describes ways to force YouTube to let you keep your video and/or music on the grounds of fair use. I know we’ve all had problems with this lately. Here’s a way to petition them for your content if you have a problem that won’t have you stepping on WMGs toes.

  I have a vid like that saved to my favorites on YT for when they try to shut me down. They almost did with my Cash one. But if they want to put a link up to buy the song off amazon/itunes etc, im totally down for that instead of laying the smack down on me.

  I do this every time… it’s a little sketchier to claim fair use with edited videos with a song layover, but fair use is FIRMLY on the side of those that record a video with the original music in the background.
