  • How much spin?

I just set up my new TG Xpert… and I have a question. I have only been on spin pole a handful of times… and I am trying to remember the way they spun, but its hard without having them side by side…. I just want to make sure I haven’t overtightened my pole (I’m always scared of it coming down).

The pole spins well when I swing around on it… but it doesn’t spin like crazy when I just spin it between my palms (imagine someone trying to start a fire by spinning a stick on a rock… if that makes any sense to someone)… It’s fluid.. but it doesn’t spin when I take my hands away. Is this how everyone else’s feels? I think this is how I remember it feeling.

My PS SSA spins like crazy… but on spin mode its just a pole inserted into another pole (not like an actual mechanism… I could take one hand and spin it and it would spin long after I stopped.

Please let me know if any of this makes any sense. 😀

My 2014 xpert spins like mad when I mount and throw shapes etc but if I just spin in with my hands it moves then stops. It is my weight and pushing off that makes it spin and I control the ride by tucking in close (to go faster) or throwing out an arm or leg to slow the spin

Thanks, That helps. That’s pretty much how mine is… it’s very fluid when I’m on it. I think I got it just about right. 🙂

I have a TG Xpert and it spins just the way you describe. Don’t worry, your weight on the pole will keep the momentum going just like TropicalPole says 🙂

Yeah, I have the same exact kind & I know what you’re talking about. Make sure not to over tighten it….I’ve re-adjusted mine 2 or 3 times now & can see how much spin I lost by overtightening to begin with.
(Also..mine is 11ft & was afraid of it falling…I have had it happen once, but the top crown part just got dislodged & the whole thing didn’t come crashing down. I’ve seen videos posted here too of that happening. Just do check ups on it.)
