  • How much does your X pole spin?

Posted by Lyme Lyte on March 31, 2013 at 10:33 pm

When you have your pole on spin and just grab it with your hand and try to give it a good spin….just the pole with nothing on it……how many rotations will it go around????  I just put up my new pole and when I do it, it maybe does a half revolution.  If I make it looser on the ceiling, the dome will just will slip (although I can get a full hand rotation then).  But when it is secure and tight, it doesn't barely spin and it feels like there is a "spring" in it and it always spins back (if that makes any sence).  Can someone clarify?  THANKS

My xpoles don’t spin on their own at all. They almost spin on their own if I’m using the vaulted ceiling mount (my poles spin faster if I use the mount) however if it catches hard as youbturn it then you need to slightly loosen the pole.

XPoles do not spin like the PS do when in spin mode without body weight.

I think PS poles spin like mofos, while x poles are a little more controlled. Just my observation.

The competition X-poles spin like a mofo – like the ps poles but the home poles if over tightened don't seem to spin as much.  You could get a mount for it and it will spin faster and get rid of the ceiling plate issue you are having.

My X-poles at Studio B spin really good.  It also takes time to break them in – I hope that helps.  The one I have at home spins really good!!!!

Thanks everyone….guess I was thinking it would spin totally free like my PS. Now I will have to work at spinning it with my body weight! Lol. 🙂

Yes – X-pole assembly is super simple these days!  I love them.  I know you are practicing for next year's showcase so I thought I would add that you may want to practice on your perm spinner since it's faster – the stages seem to have really good spin!
