Ok, I’m desperate here. I know improving flexibility takes time and I’m doing my stretching, but I am making very little progress. I’m thinking my problem is only partly lack of flexibility. I feel like my hips are my hangup… Rotating from the hip is a bit of a difficulty at times, as they will pop and sometimes “catch.” While I can usually deal with it and work through and around it while stretching, when I try to actually do something with it, it’s an impasse. Easy example: Fan legs. I know I am more flexible than my legs are showing in this move, and I have good strength to go off of, but the “catch” in the rotation of my hips limits my range of motion. Does ANYONE else have this type of problem? Does anyone have any tips or advice for getting past this or “training” to help me be able to smoothly rotate from the hips?
