Hip flexor pain attempting apprentice/side V… help!
So last week in class we were working on cradle spin into apprentice/side v… Oh MAN! During, but after class (especially!) my left hip flexor was sooo incredibly sore! Now that it finally feels better, I was excited to practice the move on my pole at home. After a ton of stretching (doing every stretch and warm up I could think of that focuses on hip flexors), it still started to hurt pretty badly after a couple tries… my main problem is getting my outside leg in front of the pole, if that helps, though I think the problem starts with me extending my leg. Any ideas on what I could be doing to cause this much pain? Is it a matter of flexibility? I’m bummed I can’t get this move down since it’s such a great transition!
