  • Help! How to get sticky tape residue off of my xpole chrome!

Well I thought I was a genius when I took my pole down and colour coded the pieces for quick reassembly. Now I have sticky clear tape residue on several areas of the pole that I need to be gone. How can I do this safely without damaging the finish? Please help! I’ve already tried vinegar and windex and scrubbed but they didnt help 🙁 I need something stronger

Try a clothes steamer or an iron set to steam! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdjeYnLLaBw

Goo gone is great to remove sticky residue. I haven’t read the label on what not to use it on but it’s supposed to be all natural. I’ve used it on many surfaces with no issue and Would think Crome wouldn’t be an issue….but double check.

In my work I remove stickiness all day long. I use 99 percent volume alcohol that you can get at any beauty supply store. If you can’t find 99 percent 91 will also work..do not bother with 70 percent. A soft Dobe sponge will work without scratching. This works on any non porous surface glass etc.

    Dobe’s are the best
…use them to get our fun Florida lovebugs off my truck….they don’t scratch surfaces….

I am a big fan of “3M adhesive remover” (white can red label). Also WD40 works too!
