    Hey out therehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif,

I just started this site and I love it!!! I have a question though. I usually have about 1hr a day to workout before I need to work. Today was my first day going through all the strength moves, and I know I need to give my body a day of rest. What I'm trying to figure out is how to put the strength and conditioning together in my alloted time. I don't get off until 10pm, and by then I just want to relax. Would it be ok to do just the strength pole routine and then go straight to conditioning? I'd appreciate any advice you'd have.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sasha

Yep! You don’t need to do all the conditioning moves each time you do your strength work…just focus on one muscle group each day you do your strength work. The muscle groups used are in order and also listed in the discriptions 🙂

Thanks, I appreciate that our advice. I love your site too, where I live we don’t have a studio where I can go. I feel this is a great substitute.

Hey, I have another question. What do you suggest a noobie use for grip?  By the time I get to pole holds my hands keep slipping and I can't do the moves.

You need to determine what is causing the grip issue.  If it is just strength then nothing.  If it is due to sweaty hands then there are lots of grip aids out there.  I wll not let my beginner girls touch grip aids unless they have 1) greasy hands or 2) sweaty hands.

It’s sweaty, I almost fell a couple times.

Dry Hands is a common sweaty hand grip aid. My favorite is Tite Grip. That stuff works extremely well with far less need to reapply. Also make sure you don’t use lotion day of pole practice, and wash them thoroughly before pole to get off any hair products or residues. Hope that helps!

If it get's really bad, and you are trying to do the pole crunches, you can always get the mighty grip tac gloves.

I tried might grip, I worked once. After that it didn’t and it left the residue on my pole

Most grip aids will leave a residue unfortunately. I used to have super sweaty hands and I just gave up on grip aids. I foudn that if I had a fan nearby to air dry my hands, that was helpful. You should wipe your pole down often with rubbing alcohol and a towel.

Now I have the opposite problem from my medication, so I am super dry. Now that I have super dry hands I am leaving dead skin trails on my pole that I have to clean during my pole sessions, and it is just as annoying as the grip aid film. <—Ew!
