  Head Over Heels: Southern Belles Pole Showcase!

  Hey divas!

  I am putting together a fun showcase in Raleigh NC that is open for polers of ALL SKILL LEVELS to perform in!  This showcase isn't necessary about the "big pole tricks" but about the diversity of talent, stories and styles in our community today.  Its a great opportunity for first-time performers or for women who want to continue working on their performance abilities =)

  There is an application process via online video submission HOWEVER we are looking for unique dancers and heartfelt stories more than anything!  Selected performers will have to pay a small fee of $15 to reserve a space HOWEVER this money goes right back into the event as we have a super fun suprise up our sleeve for the event theme.

  Head Over Heels will be holding an ONLINE audition process for women interested in performing at the May 4 event. Women from near & far are welcome to audition for a performance spot. 

  Deadline for all applications is 7:00pm on March 30, 2012. 
  All applications must be emailed to {he*************@***il.com} by the deadline.

  We are looking for women who embody the Head Over Heels mission… women who have rediscovered a part of themselves with pole dance fitness and cannot wait to share their story & passion with the world! If you are a passionate woman with a story other women can relate to… a woman who dreams of taking the stage but has not had the opportunity to do so before… or just a fun-loving diva who wants to strut her stuff!… then our event is perfect for you!

  VIDEO AUDITIONS

  All would-be performers must apply via our video audition process. The video audition will consist of two parts (see below). Applicants must upload a video to YouTube or other video hosting site with a link that can be shared. Video titles should read "Southern Belles Pole Showcase Audition – **YOUR NAME HERE**. Applicants are allowed to audition & perform under an assumed name or stage name. Sorry, but videos over 3 minutes in length will not be considered.

  –> (Part 1) 45-60 seconds: 
  We want you to tell us WHY you feel you deserve a spot in the showcase – think about the following questions: How has pole dancing impacted your life? Why do you want to perform? Who inspires you? Who do you want to perform for? What would being a part of Head Over Heels mean to you? This is important because you will be a pole ambassador at our event and we want to hear YOUR STORY & how much you want to be there! ♥

  –> (Part 2) 1.5 – 2 minutes: 
  An unedited video of you performing pole dance – show us your style! Video may be a piece of a past performance or a new recording. We are not necessarily looking for the most powerful trickster out there, but somebody who can embody the strength & message of the pole dance community. Inspire us with your own unique style of dance & feel free to incorporate your other talents as well (ie: pole dance fusions with chair dance/burlesque/belly dance/ballet)… this is your time to shine so BE YOURSELF! =)

  OTHER CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE YOU APPLY

  Selected performers will be notified by April 4 2012 if they are invited to perform at this event. Performers MUST be available all afternoon the day of the event, so please make sure you will be able to take time off work/have enough time to travel in/etc before applying. All performers must pay a non-refundable fee of $15 if selected to participate – fees will go towards funding the event (chair rentals, programs, etc).
