Runemist- That’s amazing about your mum! Love it. The problem goes deeper with these particular individuals. They are close-minded and have a barrier that they choose to put up. Sometimes we let the people that we did not choose to be in our lives (family members) and allow their judgement get the best of us… Which is exactly what i did yesterday. I don’t even know why I expected anything different which is why I TRY to keep my interests as a topic of conversation at a minimum with them..

I’ve met a couple Veeners in person!
I met Nata Lie when I was travelling in Germany – I took a train to go visit her for the day and it was awesome! We had so much fun! I posted videos here from our pole jam in her backyard 🙂
Then KoriNee came and stayed at my apartment for a couple days when she came to my area for some workshops with Cleo and/or Karol Helms (can’t remember which ones she went to) and we had a blast! -
I have! I met sexyrockstarswife. We met upup at a pole class. I’ve met oneone other Veener, through chem actually. As long as you do it safely, it should be fine. No home visits initially. Like chem said, it helps that a lot of us are fb friends.

I will say that if a person on here wanted to meet me, but they had no pics, our limited pics and i didn’t talk to them on the phone prior or werent fb pals, I’d be like “hells no”

That would be great to meet up hope you go to see your dad soon lol and its on my must see list to go to Louisiana had a family reunion there this year but wasn’t able to make it. And we should all pick a spot to do a Veena meet up besides convention and expo that is cause I know that during those events ppl are so focused on taking workshops with pros so should set something.up where we just all hangout and get to know fellow members from all over.

junkie- malaysia is a beautiful place and i really hope i can travel the world one day. i have big aspirations to go to Australia.. I have for about 4 years now, even before pole. The polers and studios there make me want to visit even more and Malaysia would definitely be a pit stop if i do go 😉

I would love to travel to different states and countries to take lessons and meet new pole friends I’m trying to go to England in July for five days to train with Sarah Scott hope to also be able to do pole summer camp in saint Martin but not sure lol if only I was rich.

tiger- i saw that Sarah Scott is now offering travel in sessions like Zoraya Judd is doing. I really want to do Zoraya’s next level training and it seems like it is worth every penny.. i just can’t put out the cash right now.. Hopefully they are still doing it in the next year or two…

Tigerlillies, I was just in Roswell for Thanksgiving. There is a SV member who does not get on here much any more that I think is teaching in Alpharetta. BTW, I met here through here. She has family up in Cleveland and when she came to visit I got to meet her and take some classes with her! I can attest that she is an awesome instructor!

I have met so many people through different forums that I actually answer to Chem or Chemmie in person. My stage name is even a version of it.

Well at the end of December I will be back in nc picking up my best friend so she can visit for a little. Was planning on going to Aradia fitness if you live close to there its in Cary let me know can take a class together or do lunch I am so excited plan on going to kanki can’t find one here

@chem…I’ve met and poled with Sahrit a few times. She is super nice, and a great instructor. I’ve also poled with two other members, and met some at one of the pole conventions. I think it’s pretty easy to tell if someone is for real or just a creeper 😉

I actually have her number in my old phone and used to chat she is super nice just haven’t been able to meet up yet to pole together but will def touch base with her. I haven’t been able to afford pole expo or convention yet but hopefully will make pole expo 2014. So hopefully will meet some of you guys there

I would love to see Ireland my mom still has family there so would be cool to try and find them plus see the area its on my dream list of countries to go to along with many others like Rio lol

I want to see Ireland sssooooo bad! I apparently have Irish on both sides of my family, and I’m trying to trace them… not easy! I’ve also discovered that the harp is the “national instrument,” and I just got mine in September. Weird stuff!

I sure have met a couple of people from SV & from FB pole community as well and plan on meeting a lot more! My husband used to lecture me about being so trusting of peeps I met & befriend in pole forums & on FB but he has also met a couple of the gals I have met up with & we didn’t get murdered, so lately he hasn’t been lecturing me as much although sometimes, I still get the discerning eye from him lol. However, I have never met anyone who I haven’t gotten to know online for awhile though & I think I am a pretty good judge of character, so so far so good in the not befriending a nutcase or psycho lol
