  • Handstand in Heels?

Been working on my Handstand.  I can go up against the wall easy and the pole pretty easy.  However, I am thinking about doing this with heels and it is giving me a bit of fright!  Since my legs are going to be a few inches taller due to heels, when I put my head down, wont it be as if doing a handstand to a floor that is a few inches LOWER than where my feet are?  Almost like doing a handstand DOWN a hill……yes?

I don't know, I guess I will try it tomorrow and see how it feels….if I dare.  Kinda scary, or is it just my mind playing tricks on me?

It’s easier to do a headstand with your feet elevated– I’ve often heard people recommend you put your feet on yoga blocks to start 🙂 you can get your upper body more vertical which makes it easier to press up.

No, I didn't fall.  Didn't even have the courage to TRY….well I tried a little but only once and that was enough.  Just about broke my ankle when my legs came down.  Plus I was afraid of putting a big old hole in the drywall with the back of my heel!   Think I am going to go get some yoga block today, that sound much more stable.  Thanks for the advice!  🙂
