I am just wondering what everyone else's opinion is on allowing people to use gloves in pole competitions. I can see both sides of the fence on the subject, so I am impartial to it. Just wondering what everyone else thinks.

I am against it.  I can undersatnd grip aids because you never know what the temp of the room is going to be and not having a warm pole/warm body on top of nerves is a bad combination.  However gloves create an unfair advantage.

    Hi xxtwiztidimagesxx,

While wearing gloves may not be a bad idea for those who truly have poled years and still have a persiration problem on their hands, it usually isn't supported in the rules. As a regular competitor, we have lot a lot of strict guidelines to follow. If you were looking to compete, just make sure it's ok with your competitions guidelines and usually Showcases are ok with it!
