I can tell that the new xpoles are 100% NOT the same quality as they used to be. The old ones were heavier. I put together a pole with my friends yesterday and i did a few fireman spins, and it literally warped out. THE METAL IS DAMAGED!!!! I called and they said that i overtightened the x-joint, and told me they will replace the piece. Im just confused as to how tight you are supposed to make the x-joint. If its not tight enough, it will get f'd up, but if its too tight, now the poles get warped? wtf?! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I had issues with my xpole when I first got it. I had the b pole rotate over the joint and the groove got stripped. They sent me a new joint and b pole and I have not had that problem since. I do wish that they would refine the joint idea a bit. It would be cool if they used the type if attachment method uses for their lite pole. The top pole has a smaller tube at the bottom with two large notches that fit snugly into the bottom pole. The joint is sturdy, doe not require tightening, and does not rotate due to the large notches holding it in place.

There isn't a pole out there that is 100% however I'd go with X-pole over any other company any day because if there is a problem they will correct if QUICKLY.  Peace of mind is worth something.

I've bought from all 3 manufacturers and had a good deal of support from Randy and Minx – he's a great guy but the poles aren't so great in a few ways.  The pole is basically held up by a flange that has 1 screw – this means as you spin on your pole that screw is moving around and eventually will leave a LARGE hole in your stud – this happened to me and many S Factor girls that bought minx's – there's really nothing you can do about it.  Overall I am liking their new stainless it's grippy – there was a time when they were putting out polished steel and it was soooo slippy – they seem to have fixed or I've gotten better – hahaha.  I don't feel like their pole is as safe unless you also screw in the bottom to the floor – so that's a lot of damage if you don't have a studio.

X-joints take getting used to.  I've already stripped the joint on my pole and can't get it out – eventually I'll replace it but for now it's stuck solid and I have no reason to replace it.   The X-joint can be a pain – I have 2 poles that use it and 1 is okay and the other I stripped – not a big deal – I know X-pole will help me out when I need it.  They've been so wonderful.  Thing is – not every product is perfect so I don't get upset about that but I do get upset when companies refuse to fix the problem like Platinum Stages does – they like to wait and blame you where as X-pole likes to educate you and get your pole back up as soon as they can.

A studio in Portland just told me that they have heard of the chrome x poles bubbling and chipping? They said they like PS. I honestly think it depends on the individual with what you want to get. I have heard good AND bad about LM, x pole, and PS.

Meh, I have an original multipiece superpole and I love it to death.

Mine is always fused together when I take it down, and I just loosen them with strap wrenches.

I've heard a ZILLION terrible stories from both sides, like, terrible terrible.

I can say that Kim is the only person who gets anything done at Platinum Stages and she can be a super bitch.

On that side note, chrome is not meant for me, and little mynx rotators (their removable) don't seem to be made for opposite side spinner users, which I am.  I also think little mynx's stainless steel feels funky compared to Platinum Stages.

My next pole will be a PS, and Kim and I will just have to duke it out if it comes out wrong. 😉

Oh wow!  I didn't know little mynx has different stainless now.  I guess if they fixed their rotator problems, I would be down to go with them.  Then again, my pole is merry and doesn't really want replacing!

    Me no likey chrome!

I see that that action pole are 1.5" (38mm), but the poles int he photos still look photoshopped in. In the 4th room photo, the pole is narrower than teh distance from the tips of her fingers to her firts knuckle.
