I'm kinda new to the whole dancing in heels thing, and one aspect that really frustrates me is that I can't get my bottom foot to stick when I try the cupid in heels.  Is there a trick to it?  Do I just need to keep at it?

It is more of an ankle contact when you are wearing shoes if you are going hands free, or you need to hold on to your hooked ankle.  Start with holding that hooked ankle until you find the right spot of contact.

Also, keep your inner thighs really tight. If you're pretty flexible it's easy to let that bottom leg slide down, especially in heels.

I show you how to do it without using the bottom of the foot in this lesson. 🙂 https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4cbf2cc3-01c0-4abb-963b-2af60ac37250

If you’re wearing heels, stick the pole to your leg (the area between your calf and ankle).

If the shoes have vinyl, I put it on the side of my foot where the sticky vinyl strap is 🙂
