I have about 2-3 feet of hair. I recently went to a salon, showed her exactly what I wanted, (think of Kate Winslet in Titanic red/orange) and she got fairly close, so I was okay with it. Well, it faded super fast, and I don't have money to get three feet of hair retouched constantly at a salon. So I bought some Hi Color from L'Oreal, 2 of the Copper Red and one Sizzlin' Copper (they only had two of the copper red, and two boxes doesn't cover my hair). Anyway I mixed them all together using a 30 developer. I started at the ends and the underneath first then did the rest. The color is fabulous, but the bottom half of my hair is still too dark for my taste. The top is bright and coppery which is exactly what I want, but the ends (which are obviously older, and have been dyed more than once) are just too dark. What's the best way to lighten the bottom to get it to more closely match the top??
