December Yoga Challenge #justbepresent
Posted by AllysonKendal on November 30, 2014 at 8:33 pmHi daily yoga buddies. It was suggested we start a new December thread.
Everyone is welcomed to join in!This months challenge is 24 days long and titles Just Be Present.
Do your best and don’t worry if you can’t do all the poses! Take a photo or video after your practice of the daily pose. (Photos are better for SV purposes because you can upload them directly to this thread)
@kinoyoga will give advanced options when possible. http://instagram.com/kinoyoga
@beachyogagirl will give beginner when needed. http://instagram.com/beachyogagirlSee you yogis tomorrow! Namaste.

I’m gonna try and be good and join this one too but it might be out off tulle post semester (1 week maybe 2). I totally flaked on the other one, time to slow it down and *be present*
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s photos! Y’all have been killin it in these challenges. So fun!

Only advice is to just be present (hey!) with where you are at in each pose, and look up any modifications to make each pose more accessible to you. Breath is of the utmost importance and if you can’t breathe normally in a pose, then it’s time to modify! You will be so happy you took the time to get down the basics as you move on to more advanced poses 🙂 (and you’ll save yourself from a lot of injuries!) namaste! ðŸ™

Oh my, that last pic is adorable Mae!!
Today was a tad scary for me because this is the pose in which I strained my rotator cuff during lets get flexy. I pushed too hard apparently and I’ve been babying my shoulder ever since. This time I did the beginning modification and I’m perfectly happy with where I’m at now. I’m just not super twisty. Yet.
