Oh no. I wanted a pink one when I ordered mine but could not find one! I got the one off lilmynx.com. It’s awesome and all. It’s just not pink. I could not find one in the U.S. for the life of me!!!! I really do recommend getting a professional mat though. It will save you!!!!! Pink Ellies… 60.00. Xpole… 300.00. Mirror… 100.00. Not crying from carpet burn on your face when you slide doing a bow and arrow, PRICELESS!!!!!!! Priceless, ladies! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

I’ve been looking into pole mats and they are so expensive, but I really would like to get one at some stage. The 2" ones seem fairly affordable, but do the actually give much padding, as they look like they’d still hurt quite a bit to land on from an invert! Is it worth forking out for the 4 or 6", or is a 2" one okay?

Does anyone know about decent pole mats in UK/Ireland?

has anyone used the round crash mats VS the square crash mats? is it all a preference thing, or is one better than the other? i kinda think the round one would be better since we circle the pole & all but IDK really. i need a real crash mat really bad! i have been using couch cushions but i don’t want to destroy them & the move around since there is no velcro to hold them in place so its not really that "safe", i can just imagine crashing down between them & that would totally suck! i want a 6in thick crash mat because i have cement under the carpet in my pole room & i really don’t want to bust/shatter my knee/elbow/head https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif so i’m thinking the thicker mat would be best https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Here is another option for you all.. These people were at the DC pole -also, so I had a chance to see the mat in person. It is super thick (5") and very sturdy. I think I’ll be getting one of these once i save up enough $$. They are $249+shipping. Also, there is an optional carry case for $24.99.

You can get an ergokneel at a safety supply store. Think they are only 1" thick, but they are made for standing on concrete and are super soft. You can get a round one with a hole in the middle, made for a fireman’s pole.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents in https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif > I don’t have a fortune to spend so when it came time to buy mats for myself I searched quite a bit and considered a lot of different options. What I ended up getting was 2 everlast mats from the sports store called model’s(not sure I spelt their name correctly). These mats are 6ft. by 2ft long when opened and are 2inches thick. However, they fold down to 3ft. and their depth goes to 4in. I use them mostly folded and place them on each side of my pole. These mats give me quite a bit of versatility, for I am able to fold and unfold them according to my needs. When I am not using them for a crachmat, I will pull one open to provide that cushion I need when stretching, Love them.. o and each mat was around 50$ or so. Awesome find, at least in my opinion! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

I got an folding mat at Target :
Embark Vinyl Fitness Mat – Black $29.99
It’s great because I can use it for the warm-up/stretch & cool-down we do on yoga mats (my bony old ass needs two of them!). I can fold in half or quarters, depending on how much cushion I want. I can carry it easily with the handles.
There are similar mats at Target, thicker and higher in price accordingly, $79.99 and $119.99.

This works when I can plan where I might be falling!!! doesn’t give 360-degree protection.

I'm looking for a crash mat too.  The mat from urban dancer  looks good I saw that they were sold out, so I hope they make them in pink cause it said more colors are coming soon.  I think I might get a travel one so I can take it to my studio too.
