I struggled with dizziness too. Things that have helped me are time, pausing during practice until my head gets straight, and chewable ginger tablets. It has gotten so much better for me. Part of it has been my head adjusting, part of it has been learning the hard way not to push through it (ugh, I just get sicker and sicker) and I really do believe the chewable ginger tablets (with Vit. B6) have helped. I hope you find some relief!

Are you getting dizzy from the spinning pole or are you just having symptoms of dizziness?

Thank you for the video I am going to try the tips

Have you been to your doctor and had a blood test for anemia? Anemia causes dizziness especially when doing physical activity and so it could be that you have low iron and just need to take iron supplements/ adjust your diet. I had it, it’s quite common. Just something to think about…!

Unless the dizziness is just from the spinning pole… In which case it’s probably not anaemia

The reason I asked is because your symptoms sounded like hypoglycemia symptoms (sugar level too low). Are you a diabetic? Is there a chance it could be hypoglycemia?
-
I’m not diabetic but it could be that reason because I haven’t been eating that well and getting enough sleep…stress can do that to you
-
I’m not a diabetic either, but I get hypoglycemic sometimes. If you stress your adrenal glands, by too much stress and not eating right for too long, you can get hypoglycemic symptoms.

jane ette that is interesting, thanks for this post ladies. I get dizzy as well, but not with the pole, and reading what you said .. I’ve been a stress basket for many years just now starting to tone it down and most my life have just never had an appetite. But now that I’m Older i sees its self neglect. loving myself like I love my kids had really been helpful in getting me to eat and take time to check in with what i need throughout the day ( and for me usually just sitting quietly enough for a free minutes and boom she is talking and knows exactly what she needs) thanks again ladies, so much info, love, and giving on this

for me it’s easy to tell the difference: if te pole is making me dizzy, then I am dizzy AND nauseous. In which case, ginger is yoyur friend.
If it’s low sugar or dehydration, I get dizzy + strong headache + I lose periphereal vision and start seeing dots floating all over the place. In which case, drink more (maybe add some lemon or lime juice to your water, it helps me a lot, especially if you also belong to the heavy sweating family like me), and try to take better care of yourself in the eat/sleep/nostress departments =) -
Actually, I started using essential oils and my blood sugar levels are now stable and I don’t get those dips anymore. Plus, I was able to lose the weight I wanted to. They have been a real blessing in my family.

I recently found oils as well, loving lemon in my h2o also 🙂 some Hawaiian sandalwood for meditation and yoga, peppermint for stomach aches, and oh my, doterra makes a deep blue rub for pain, it’s AMAZING! Also loving young living’s thieves oil is a fav as well:) aromatherapy is truly awesome. Thanks for the shared info ladies!

Yes, our medicine cabinet looks TOTALLY different now. Once we realized that they were usually more effective than the over the counter stuff and even prescription medicine and knew they are all natural with no side effects, we got rid of so much stuff. I’m working on my cleaning cabinets now too. Plus, it is way cheaper!! I’m glad you discovered essential oils too 🙂 They are awesome!!

Hi dmorningstar, sorry to hear you’ve been dizzy… I was dizzy for a long time but that’s because I had a chronic condition that caused vertigo. It hasn’t been back for months now though because I’ve been managing my stress levels and hopefully it’ll never come back as long as I’m relaxed and happy in life- so phew! A stressful incident in my life is what set it off- and I wonder if it’s the same with you regarding the stress? If you’re only feeling dizzy from the pole and not in general, then it would be a matter of building up to it slowly. The ‘How to use spinning pole’ video by Veena looks awesome, I’m going to check it out myself! Remember to be kind to yourself and take baby steps. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
