CHEAP GLOVES OR GRIP AID ALTERNATIVE
Posted by Veena on August 12, 2009 at 12:28 amHad a crazy idea while making supper tonight!! If you want super grip, you know, to work on those really hard to hold moves…..try using cheap rubber dish washing gloves!!!!! You know the ugly yellow ones you can get, for like a buck, at any big box or grocery stores. Now of course they can’t be used for spins, BUT I have tried them and they work fantastic for moves like butteries and split grip work. I’m not suggesting you use them all the time, but it can be helpful if you have sweaty hands or know how to do a move, but don’t yet have the hand strength to hold the move! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Someone else had mentioned it one time before, but I cannot for the life of me remember who!

LMAO!!!! Did you really try it V??? Where’s the vid???
Can we have a dish washing glove challenge???? -
That’s so funny. I was just thinking the same things about the polyvinyl exam gloves at the clinic. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

Haha. That’s Fantastic Veena. I’ve gotta try the glove method. I’ve got a box full of vinyl gloves left over from refinishing some furniture. Several months ago I found something funny on a pole exercise site referring to grips of dance boots. How’s this for a laugh….try hip waders or chest high fishing boots for getting that Superman accomplished.

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Whoohoo!!! Thanks Veena! I’m going to try it tonite, since I have those pesky sweaty hands https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif and this humidity isn’t helping me one bit https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I just left Walmart where I purchased a pretty pink pair. Gonna test them out tonight. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thank you so much for that tip, Veena! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I bought a pair of white with pink fingertip dishwashing gloves from my local supermarket for REAL cheap!
Tried it on the pole and it works a treat!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif The only thing is when you start to sweat, your hands stick to the gloves and eventually some sweat will drip out of the arms! EEEWW!
Other than that, it was sooooo effective! Could do some moves where I normally can't due to lack of grip. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
Have fun with this, ladies!
