One of my friends is the designer/creator of Bodybinds, and so we are all wearing different ones in the video 🙂 I’m in the ankle boots.

I saw this video of bodybinds! it was on facebook's group stripperstyle (: I thought it was a cool idea because it looks great. So many women dancing sexy, is hard to see what everybody is doing at the same time. It is very entertaining!!! Now that I know which one you are I'll watch it again.

I posted my video on stripperstyle too, it was this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7OIGQkmQcQ&feature=plcp

i saw this last week on UPA & i wanted to try it. i have never tried to be sexy in my life, & never pole danced sexy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif i gave it a shot monday & wednesday & OMG that is the funniest shit ever! my version of sexy is just awkward, i have great flow, but when i try to be sexy i LMAO & ruin my viedos. i'm gonna try again in a little while when i pole. i may post a "trying to be sexy" instead of a real sexy vid. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Okay ladies someone has to say this:  did anyone else see the "bringing sexy back" campaign, and think, "wait a minute… pole stopped being sexy?!"  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

There is a whole discussion going on regarding the direction that pole is going.  So many of the competitions are stating "no overtly sexy moves" etc, hence making the comps more like a gymnastics routine than a pole dance.  How many of us get pissed about being called strippers?  How many of us have explained that it is a good form of exercise and totally glossed over how it has brought us to terms or even helped us find our sexy?  This I believe is what this campaign is about.  Australia has kept that sexy edge but for some reason we feel that we need to hide it in our competitions to be seen as legit.  Think about it.

This (above post) is why I have no interest in seeing pole in the Olympics. Not interested in gymnastics on a pole.

I would be very interested in seeing pole in the Olympics. Actually, it would be the first time I would have any reason to ever watch the Olympics https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I understand that the Olympic version must be more gymnastic/acrobatic and somehow regulated with no overtly sexy moves but that doesn't mean that sexy dancing would immediately be banned everywhere else! Pole dancing is probably the most diverse style ever and we should embrace that diversity.

At Studio 409 in Montreal, we work a few graceful  or sensual move but not sexual. There is a difference between the two. Here is my video; you already know me …;)

I also have no desire to see pole in the Olympics… I also don’t enjoy watching pole videos half as much as I did even a year ago because it seems as though pole has turned strictly into gymnastics. I love tricks and thats obviously a big part of pole but pole has turned into just that…. Pole. It seems to me that pole dance dropped the dance somewhere lately. Videos of competitions and showcases just dont have the emotion they once did…. More of a gymnastics recital. For me it’s not so much about the sexy but the dancing. Not back hand springs or a couple splits but emotional dancing. But to each their own, if this is where pole is headed good for the people who enjoy pole and im happy for them I just prefer pole DANCING and love that the bringing sexy back week was recognized.

Yes ABN I miss the dancing and emotional aspect of it too. I also did notice the same thing about enjoying older videos more than newer ones because the pole work lately just looks so stiff and mechanical to me. As far as the olympics, I'm not for or against it but I personally find pole without dance boring.

I uploaded mine last night.  Id put my link out there but YT is banned at work (fun ruiners!).  If you go to my main page http://www.youtube.com/minicoopergrl  it should be the first video that pops up.

the idea came to me while I was driving home Thursday.  It looked good when I editited it but its hard the be the performer and run video at the same time.

I posted 2 videos. If the links don't work, they're also on my facebook and here on my SV page. Not what you usually see me do. I save my sexiness for showcases and cabaret performances, like this show. This style of performance is a nice break from competition routines. Gonna go watch some of the other videos now.

I had so much fun watching these links!!! thank you for posting! It was a great week and I felt great participating, I was so stressed out and after I did it I felt so much better, just knowing that I did something that I enjoyed and nobody would judge in a moral nor in a profesional way. No need to hold back or impress anyone. No shyness and no advanced tricks. Just dancing.

I fell in love with pole dancing because it is expressive and sexy. I think most of the tricks are naturaly sexy so I don't understand why somebody would not want to focus on that. I don't fully enjoy pole dancing in a completely acrobatic style, or in a  ballet style…I just don't get it. I think you cannot take the sensual part out of dancing tango, you cannot take the sensual part out of bellydancing…and with pole dancing I think it's the same. It's the way the dance was born and I feel it should stay that way no matter how many other elements you can include. Fusions are great and dangerous combos are great too, but I don't think you can take sexy out of pole dancing. It is difficult to pole dance in an emotional and expressive way without sexy, even if it is romantic, nostalgic or whatever, it is always a bit sexy unless you don't express anything at all. And if it doesn't express anything….it is not dancing to me.

I'm glad pole dancing will be in the olympics but I'm sad that it will be shown to the world as a boring sport. I'm sure other disciplines that also are in the olympics are sexy too, right? like ice skating??rythmic gymnastics?? they were sparkly outfits and move pretty sexy to me, at least in artistic and enjoyable performances. It shouldn't be a problem with pole dancing.

Plus….it is ok to pole dance without heels, but to me…heels are a part of it, I hope they accept that in the olympics though I don't think so…but I would like to ask people if they imagine bellydancers without their sexy outfits or tango dancers without heels…I don't think so either… then they should accept the way pole dancing really is.
