  • Brass vs. Titanium Gold?

So I'm thinking about making my next pole purchase and I recently tried a brass pole for the first time and LOVED it! The perfect amount of grip for me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

However, I had already wanted my next pole to be a 45mm x-pole and in Canada, x-pole doesn't have brass poles, only titanium gold.  The website says that the TG finish is supposed to imitate the brass finish but I was just wondering if there are any of you who have tried both, and if you found there was a big difference between them?

The 45mm TG x-pole is sold out right now anyways so this isn't a time sensitive question! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Brass is definitely grippier than the TGbut the TG does not leave your hands smelling like metal.

I’ve never tried brass so I can’t compare. I do hate the smell that TG leaves on my hands.

I have danced on both….love brass its the best for grip. TG is not as grippy but still very nice to work with.

Call Canada's x-pole and ask them if they will get the 45 mm brass at any point. I called the U.S. distributor and they said that we will be getting them around mid-June, so maybe Canada will have them soon too!

It looks like the Canda and the U.S. distributors are the same:

That means you can get a 45mm brass around June or July (according to them.) That's all I am waiting for, cuz I'm getting one too! 😀

I have used both and I agree with everyone else that there is better grip on a brass. The brass turns my hands black, or rather the grip product on my hands black, but it is a small price for the extra grip in my opinion. My studio replaced tg with brass.

Ha! I got a little confused. Brass is what I’ve used before and hate the smell. Oopsie.
