Oh, if this is true and brass is now going to be an option I will definately want one! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I’ve narrowed down my options and I’d prefer to have either brass or stainless steel, and I’ve been trying to decide between those two finishes and between companies (Platinum Stages, Pole Danzer, and Hardcore Poles). If I decide on brass and X-Pole will now offer that option, I’ll be buying from them for sure!

As far as I know this is not yet offered in the US and not sure when it will be. Sissy might know.
-
I emailed X-Pole today and received a reply: brass will be available in October/November sometime! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I heard the same thing Empy did and their low profile stage should be availabel the enf of Sept AND that the stages are convertable??? from regular to low profile! AWESOME!
-
lol I’m still waiting on the vaulted ceiling adapter they said originally would be out in May. Now they are saying the end of this month.
I would like one of the stage poles too.
-
how does brass compare in price to other metals?
do you know if it will be considerable more or less or about the same?

i spent all my savings to get a titanium gold! -
I was under the impression that brass wouldn’t be available in the US this year but I’ll double check that. How exciting!
I don’t know x-poles plan on the pricing for brass yet. I know PS charges $50 more for brass and the Titanium Gold is more expensive than chrome so….it may be more expensive. It’s worth it to me though LOL. I love me some brass.
*goes to email xpole*

I take it, SissyBuns, that you dance/have danced on brass?
-
I love dancing on brass. I just might have to consider one for my third pole when they become available. sissy while you are emailing them check on the status of the vaulted ceiling adapters please https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I have. They have brass poles at Xpose (the studio I used to go to occasionally) and I have a brass PS pole that I haven’t been able to put up yet.
I love brass but…..I wouldn’t want it as my only pole. Once it gets warmed up my spins slow down and it gets a little too grippy for some things. When I’m able to create my new pole space I’ll have my brass and my chrome up and go back and forth between the two.

Sure thing honey!

Clive said at PoleCon that brass would be available either late this year or next year. Ive been fully taught on brass and its super grippy, Its like the god of all pole finishes! Like Sissy said, PS charges more for brass. Brass does get a bit pricey, which is why Xpose stopped selling thier own poles, which were brass and removable. Now since Xpole is offering brass they may start selling poles again.

Hmmm, I wonder if I shouldn’t be looking at brass for a first pole. I really want to spin, and spin fast & smooth at that, and I wonder if brass will be too grippy for me. I’m dancing on a polished steel homemade pole, and once the pole gets warm I find my hands bunny-hopping on the finish! I really hate that feeling. I’m going to polish it more smoothly (right now it’s more of a matt finish) and see how I like that. But it’s definately making me rethink the brass finish for my first proper pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Saaaaaaweet! I might actually buy an X-Pole if they are available in brass! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
-
has anyone gotten a probable price for the brass yet?
-
no idea yet – can’t even find details on x-pole site. i’d assume it would be more expensive than their TG pole though, which is already a lot more than their standard x-pole. keep our fingers crossed for a special launch offer!!
-
I tried out a brass 45 mm X pole at the Alethea Austin masterclass in Stevenage and really didn’t get on with it, I found it less grippy than chrome, which I find great along with stainless steel. Alethea loved it!

The latest word is that the vaulted ceiling adaptors shoudl be here with the next shipment in about two weeks. You may wish to check into early orders Nymph!
Even XPole US has no confirmation on when the brass will be in or what they will cost…at least not as of this past Thursday. They are hoping for an update soon and hopeful for end of 2010 availability.

Here’s a Brass X Pole! Available online in Australia https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
http://xpole.cart.net.au/details/2883313.htmlFor the XPERT:
Chrome: $450AUD
Titanium: $550AUD
Brass: $650AUDOn the US site, there’s only a $30USD difference between Chrome and Titanium, so about the same extra for Brass? No real idea, though.
Just chiming in with the brass excitement! Wish I could afford a second x-pole right now!!!

yeah I saw on the website that they were due to pass through customs between the 7th and 14th. I’m going to give them a call and see about ordering one so as soon as they get here I can get one out to me. I want this X-pole up now! You know your pole is slippery when even Michelle Mynx says its pretty slippery! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif I even have the space cleared for it, although I don’t have the hardwood down yet, it is going to go on carpet for now.
-
Is it even really brass, now I’m completely confused MilienElayne put up the link so I checked it out and it says
"Includes lightweight carry case worth $75! Complete Set Contents: 45mm X-POLE in ‘Gold’ titanium finish
The all new X-POLE Brass is a fusion of traditional materials & the unique strength of our unique X-JOINT technology."
any explination? -
Looks like a copy paste typo error? Send them an email and find out? X Poles are only plated in whatever material they’re finished in. ‘True’ brass poles (like at Bobbi’s Pole Studio aka where Felix Cane trained) have the pole section made entirely of brass and are crazy heavy and expensive. At least, that’s what I’ve been told?
-
So, does anyone know if the brass X-pole is going to be solid brass? Or is it some kind of plating?
-
Dunno if anyone else is as horrendously impatient as me but I emailled X-pole asking when these will be available in the UK. Looks like some time around the end of November! Perfect timing for the Christmas holidays https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
If I’d checked this thread first, I could’ve asked about solid vs plating too, sorry EagleSpirit!
-
LOL I’m as impatient as you, Moth, I check their website every day to see if it’s been released yet. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I may yet email them to ask about the finish. I’m assuming that it will be solid brass, but I’m really wondering about the threaded joins. Brass is such a soft metal that I wouldn’t think that it could stand up to being a multipiece that gets put together and taken apart frequently…
