  • Best sports bra for pole? I need suggestions :)

    Hello everyone!

So I just moved up to intermediate at my studio this past Thursday. I had been a big fan of VS Maximum Sport Bra. However, in class on Thursday I started learning to invert and i could feel one of my boobs popping out. I have quite a few of the bras but I don't think I want to wear them to my pole classes.I think I need something a little more supportive.lol. I really like VS and I thought about maybe trying the VS Pro Sport Bra. I figured I would ask here to see what sport bras work for you all and if you had any recommendations/suggestions.

Thanks for your help and happy poling :)!

Well depending on ur size I would go w that bra. I am a DD and tried it on. I did a headstand in the fitting room and they began to creep out. I have two great sports bras from Target made by Champion…they have foam inserts which I just slide out and threw away, but my tatas stay in and covered in place w these.

I have a bunch of the Danskin bras from Walmart that I love, but I am a 36B.  The 2 I adore though they no longer make (I stand corrected…they still have one of them available online)

This one I love the most: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Danskin-Now-Front-Close-Deep-Plunge-Sport-Bra/17480246?_mm=

I also have these that have held up for several years: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Danskin-Now-Women-s-Foam-Cup-Sports-Bra/21281327?_mm=

Pretty much any of the cupped sports bras from Danskin I have been extremely happy with.

^^I agree. Danskin was made for this sport.

I have an Isis sports bra that I love.  The straps are convertible so they can be either straight over your shoulders or crossed in an X on your back.

The Danskins look great and felt great when I tried them on…..but when I got them home….fail. I’m sure it’s just us w the bigger boobs….damn them anyway! The only thing they are good for is a boob chomper!

I know lyme so frustrating! Grrr, I found some at old navy that work. They stretch around the ribs after a while cuz I have to buy a large anyway but atleast they keep me in.

Even wearing Mika Yoga wear top I fell out at a COMPETITION!! lol I didn't get disqualified b/c it happened to a lot of girls lol

Panache sports bra is the best I've ever tried for my DD-E boobs, http://www.amazon.com/Panache-Womens-Underwired-Sports-Black/dp/B005VNFJFW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367251442&sr=8-1&keywords=panache+sports+bra. It keeps them in place during all kinds of moves. So wish I had small boobs so that I could pole in a sexy bra or bikini like other girls but these things would pop up during the first spin!

I have very full 36Ds & i buy the champions brand from target they have worked well for me. I’m still boobdacious but they stay in the bra when I invert.

I just got my first Freya sports bra, it's very similar to the Panache bra described above. Freya and Panache both make excellent full busted swimwear as well, as does Fantasie. A swim top from one of those brands would make a great top for pole performances!

I got a danskin sports bra that clips in the front. The front clip style was suggested to me by Amy for big lats. I kept getting stuck in my slip on bras!

Thank you so much for all your suggestions! I'm a 32 D and was surprised when they were starting to do that.lol. I'm going to looking to all the ones you all suggested and let you know what worked best for me.

Not a sports bra, but I love Panache Cleo Jude bra – moulded cup, comes in pretty colours (new ones every few months) as well as nude, holds everything in. I have a whole collection! I’ve also got the Panache sports bra but it feels a bit like a granny bra on me 🙁 Also have the Freya one but I don’t find it particularly flattering. For reference, I wear 32G.

Panache? Never heard of that. It hold you in when you invert? If so, where did you get it from?

Now that I know my correct size, I buy most of my bras online. Panache is. UK brand I think. I’ve got a few from Ebay as well as online shops in the UK. Not sure where you can get them in the States. Maybe just try google. Try Figleaves or Bravissimo for the sports bra.

Hazi I think I know the Freya sports bra you're talking about (the unflattering one) but I think they've just released a new one. It's quite flattering on me and it has the little back-strap hook thing like the Panache. Which is great for pole, since it exposes your shoulder for shoulder mounts.

Panache, Freya, and Fantasie are all UK brands and have UK cup sizing (most websites that sell them have conversion charts to American sizes). I remember reading somewhere that something like 40% of Australian women are DD or larger. I'm not sure if that's accurate, but it would explain why British/Australian brands come in a wider variety of sizes!

This bra right here has given me the most support (I'm a 34D) and it's made from Bamboo & Organic cotton.  Champion's high performance bras tie for my 2nd fave with VS Sport.  The ( . )( . ) may spill out of the VS bras that have the push-up feature but they, VS, have a couple of new maximum support sport bras that I'd like to product test.

Well I don't know whether you have Asda over there? But I bought a sports bra from there, and it is fab and so comfy, only cost me £6 too!

I'm with chemgoddess…I prefer Daskins sports bras seeing as they offer more support and the material doesn't irritate me as much. There's another brand I get from walmart, but I'll can't remember the name. Hopefully I can find one that I DIDN'T fade the brand name out of https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I've bought Freya swimwear (bikini set) for a competition once and it is brilliant! I'm a 34DD and tend to go for halternecks (because I like to tie it tight) and then I wear a nude bra underneath and it is fine 🙂
