I've been googling and also searching the threads here for some help on making videos but have been unable to find any help… I have a digital camera (Olympus stylus tough 8000) that I have tried recording movies on but the sound quality is awful. It barely picks up the music in the background (which I have plenty loud) and also has a LOT of static.

I see all these videos posted on here with perfect sound and I can't figure how everyone gets them that way!!!! I didn't realize I was so tech-challenged!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif Also, it seems that I should have windows movie maker… I checked my home computer for it but it's not there – I don't have internet at home so I guess I have to download it elsewhere and maybe transfer it to my computer using a flash drive????

I feel pretty stupid! I usually pick up on computer stuff qucik – but NOT this stuff! I am lost.

I just want to make a video that doesn't sound like it was made in the midst of a tornado. Can anyone help me?????? Thanks 🙂

The perfect sound is done in editing.  WMM, is a basic program and pretty user friendly.  Im upgrading to imovie whem my mac arrives this week so I may have a different opinion.

Im not sure if you can get WMM on a flash drive and install it on your computer.  Im not that tech savvy for that.

Once you get an editing program, you just mute your audio from your video and instert your own song!

    Thanks for the info 🙂

I'll have to look into WMM and see if I can get it somewhere else to tranfer to my computer. I'm guessing  might be out of luck with all this stuff unless I have internet…

The only internet access I have is at work… and I don't want to be downloading stuff to my work computer (thought it's tempting!)

    Thanks again

My work computer already has windows movie maker! I'm going to come back later tonight and see if I can figure out how to mess with the audio.

The computer has windows media player too… so I'm thinking I can bring in a CD from home with the song I want, transfer the song to media player, and then transfer the song from media player to movie maker.

    I hope it's that easy!
