Hello.  I’m curious if anyone here has any familiarity or (preferably) personal experience with Awareness through movement classes or Functional Integration techniques.  I came across the subject several times while researching treatment options for a health issue that is affecting my pole training, but most of the information I could find suggested benefits for the training of dancers, athletes, and musicians, rather its use in physical therapy or for pain management.  Specifically, I would like to know if anyone has tried this, and if so, for what reasons?  Did you obtain the results you were looking for and/or did you find it helpful in other ways related to your physical / mental health, artistry, athleticism, etc.?  Finally (and I know this is a weird question), but if you did get positive results, do you attribute your success(es) to the methods themselves or your faith that they would work?

TIA for any insights anyone might be able to offer.
