From the website towards the bottom of http://www.polesportorganization.com/contact/ :
Can you explain the 3 points of contact rule for Level 2?
The 3 points of contact refer to how many body parts you have on the pole at one time. This rule is only in effect in level 2 when you are upside down on the pole (hips higher than your head). The rule would not apply if you hips are below your head, or if you are doing an elbow stand, headstand, handstand, etc. on the floor.
For example, a standard shoulder mount has 3 points of contact (2 hands and 1 shoulder).
Other examples of acceptable level 2 moves:
Gemini/outside leg hang (back of knee, side body, armpit)
Scorpio/inside leg hang (calf, inner thigh, side body, back of shoulder)
Cross knee release/figure 4 layback (2 inner thighs, calf)Examples of moves that would not be allowed in level 2 because they violate this rule:
Handsprings/iron x
Cocoon
Fanji
Most ayasha (elbow grip) variations
Cross ankle layback/straight leg laybackIf you have move-specific questions, you can send us a video of the move and we’d be happy to take a look.

So I am glad I re-read those rules now, just realized my forearm grip Ayesha should be within the guidelines for level 2 🙂

Here is some clarification on the POCs for Amy:
To answer your specific questions, we count each hand/leg separately, and the upper leg and foot would count as 2 separate points.
Here’s more information about the 3 points of contact:

It's coming up quick!!! I thought I'd bring this thread current. LESS than 3 weeks!, not to freak anyone out lol!
I'm very excited to see everyone perform!!!

Ok a few things – Mini I am so glad you are competing in this one I think it's perfect for you and you will do really really well here!!!!! I'm doing level 2 also, on May 26th.
I was confused about the point of contact thing too because the Midwest Pole Dance Competition counts a cross ankle release as a layback! I know this because I competed in their rookie category where I was not allowed to do inversions but I was allowed to do a cross ankle release and I did one in competition. I guess it was a stupid question because I asked her too but if other comps count the same move as not being inverted I think it's really important to know all the rules. I am competing in this too at the Central division and I had a CAR in my routine until I found out it was illegal!
I am signed up for dramatic Level 2, I may be re-doing my Girl With One Eye piece for it. We will see!!!! I also signed up for entertainment too but I'm regretting that now although I may just wing that one with a piece I've also done already and see how it goes! Good luck to everyone competing! xoxoxo

I have to say Im really looking forward to performing this routine ive come up. Started with just the song and now its got a whole theme and life of its own. My costume is almost done – just some basic sewing to finish. Im excited since im going to be playing a character Ive wanted to portray for years – a Bond Girl!
