Art of Pole constantly changes price?
Posted by Meleania on August 5, 2009 at 1:58 amThe first time I looked at the dvd collection (all 5) my total was gonna be $120, the next time a few months later, it was only gonna be $60, then now just recently I looked again and my total would be $100!! And Yes every time I looked I changed it to US dollars. Should I just wait till the price magically drops down again?? I wish I had bought it when it said $60 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi,
I would assume it has to do with the Aussie-US exchange rate. The Art of Pole is (I believe) priced in Australian dollars. They would use current conversions to determine how much to charge international buyers.

Yeah the price change has everything to do with the exchange rate. Summer time doesn’t seem to be the best time for exchange rates either… I think it has all to do with the fact July-August is tourist season.

If anyone notices the price dropping again please let me know! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_dwarf.gif

it is showing up as $84.37 + $17.98 for shipping to the USA…. which is less than last time i checked https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif maybe its going down again!

Scandalicious, so it is like $90+ now? I paid about $70 total but when I first looked at the DVD’s it would have cost me $60 total. *sigh* I’d just keep an eye on the exchange rates or wait after summer.

I made the shopping cart my home page so I can see what it is every time I load my browser teehee https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif I will buy it at a lower price!

i checked the price again today & now you can’t change it to USD so i’m guessing it is automatically changing that part for us…. its $99.95 now + shipping
-
Yep, I just paid 99.00 for it plus 21 bucks for SH. I wasn’t aware that prices vary…I was too excited to wait once Sissy told me it was a good set…I bought it. I’m still waiting for it though. Good Luck, I hope you get it for the price you want.

It’s 5 dvds. Jamilla is excellent at breaking down the moves too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I have Vol 3 and love it.

$120 for all 5 is not unreasonable at all, that’s less than $25 each DVD, and they are some of the best instructional DVD’s on the market, you won’t regret your purchase- Jamilla is a FANTASTIC teacher. Enjoy them girls!

So I think the price depends on the exchange rate between the Australian and US dollar. I, too, was going to wait until the price got back down into the 60 dollar range, but then I did some google searches on forecasts for the Australian dollar, and it looks like for the next few months (rest of 2009) it really is only going to stay the same or go up (in value when compared with the US dollar). But don’t quote me on this info! I’m also going off of internet forecasts (although I did find several that had comparable information), so who knows how accurate these really are.
Anyways, before finding out this information, I installed a currency conversion app on my iphone, and just checked the exchange rate on an hourly basis. But after several days of seeing very little fluctuation, I got frustrated, and just ordered the DVD set when the exchange rate hit about .82 Australian dollars to every 1 US dollar. I think the total for me with shipping and insurance and everything came out to about $108 (US).
But does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the DVDs? After buying these, I definitely can’t afford any other lessons, so my pole progress has pretty much come to a halt, and I’m getting kinda excited/giddy/impatient. I live in California, but any general idea on how long they took for you to get would be awesome!

From Jamilla’s address to the US it says 4-6 work days with Registered Post International or for Air Mail going through Australia Post.
