  • Alethea DVD Commitment???

    Alethea's dvds state 5xweek is needed to improve flexability and 3xweek to maintain…since October is just a few days away I was thinking it would be a great time to make an "October Commitment" to stretching…because short term goals are more "doable" for mehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Anyone interested in joining me? I was thinking we could check in once a week…maybe report in on Sunday regarding the previous week…?

    Now…which dvd to choose-I'm having a hard time deciding.  I was planning on doing one 5xweek, and the other one 3xweek…Suggestions are welcome!  Is it physically possible to do BOTH 5xweek?  If so, anyone want to jump on that crazy train with me?

    Turns out my bf has bought me the DVDs as a belated birthday present, but I'm one of the many that's having to wait for her second batch to be pressed, so whilst that "crazy train" sounds pretty amusing to me, I'm afraid I'm going to, erm, miss it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

    Accountability is a wonderful thing for motivation though…  Maybe I can jump on at a stop further along the line.

    And maybe I should leave that metaphor alone now, lol.

    Miraine-I'll probably start again in November…hopefully you'll have your dvds by then and can join in!

    I got my DVDs 9 days ago and since then I used them 7 times (only one DVD per day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif) and I'm down to like 1.3 inches on my good side in the front split https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

    My short flexibility story: from january to june I trainied regularly and in the end I was like 3 inches away from the ground. Then I stopped all training due to an injury for 3 months and only re-started 9 days ago with Aletheas DVD.

    I thought I'd need a lot of time to get back to the 3 inches after that long break, but no, I'm almost on the ground now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

    I'll definately continue to try to do the DVDs 5 times a week. But not both on the same day, that's a bit too crazy for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    im willing to do which ever dvd people want.  ive only have done the stretching one.

    hi girls,

    i messaged alethea.  she stated that we should focus on the stretching dvd, initially, and when we become more comfy (less sore) we should alternate b/w the dvds. 

    also, she stated that the rest of the dvds will be picked up this wednesday and will be shipped out soon after!!

    I was thinking I Should do the pole dvd first…but Everyone wants to have pretty splits, right? I did splits this morning, but will switch to pole.

    @cupcake.  which ever sounds good to you is fine we can def alternate ebtween the two.  cuz ur right pretty splits are necessary.  lol. 

    if you dont mind, im gonna start a blog cuz i have hard time finding this thread!  i will label the same as this thread.  and that we can check in on the days we do the dvd.

    Hey all! I won the DVD's for being really unflexible…lol…but I haven't yet received them and I see that this was an October challenge…will you be continuing into the winter with this? I will check in when I get the dvd's and hopefully I can join the fun:)

    I have had the DVD's for a long time and have only done each of them once.  I have been meaning to "get with the program".  This is exactly what I need!  Count me in :-).

    I'm still in there – in october I did her dvds 8 times in total (15 times since I reveiced the DVDs).

    And just one week ago I did the very first split in my life https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif In 2.5 weeks from like 4 inchs to the ground, I think the dvds are magical or something https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

    Now I only need to get flexible enough to be able to do the splits without stretching for one hour before https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    I got mine too finally! Has everyone already started a committment? If not, we should post a starting video and track our progress w video once per week and hold each other accountable.

    I ran through them both once so far. I have never been able to the splits so if this works, I will be more than ecstatic!

    I dream of being able to do pencil to bow and arrow and land in a split on the ground
