Add Sexy Side Ties to Your Pole Shorts!
Posted by moonflower on December 8, 2012 at 7:08 pmHello Veeners! I just took the plunge and finally started a blog about all things pole. My first post is a tutorial on how to add side ties to an existing pair of shorts! I love anything DIY, like Veena's shoes (LOVE those) and I bet there are a bunch of crafty polers out there.
It's really very fast and easy to add gathers and ties to a pair of existing shorts. It doesn;t require a sewing machine and the pair in the tutorial I did after several glasses of wine. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Yup, really simple but really cute.
I hope you like it!

Thanks! If you ever make make any of the projects I post, please be sure to take a pic and send it over.

I made the shorts in the tutorial a while back. I plan on posting a tutorial once I figure out how to grade the pattern up and down to other sizes. Grading patterns is a pain in the bum.
-
You made them??? Omg I just feel in love with you. Can’t wait to see that tutorial
-
"pain in the bum," get it. cuz they're booty shorts.
snark snark snark.

Ahhhh, love!! Imma doctor up some shorts that were in the 'man, I really hate wearing you' pile!!

Any tips on threading the ribbon through..? I always struggle with this…
-
Either use a safety pin on the end of the ribbon or buy one of these:

Oookay!! This is a nice little idea but the whole safety pin on the end never seemed to help. Maybe I just didn’t get it. Thanks!

@ JelliCrew, I usually use a large bobby pin like a make shift needle to thread ribbons and cords through short channels. But for longer ones I use a bodkin (what Chemmy suggested).

Any other how to make pole clothes tutorials want to make my own since cheaper and with three kids if I can save money I’m happy lol

@ tigerlillies, I'm planning on some pole clothes DIY in the future!
Another post is up BTW, this one has my Thai Chicken Skewer with Hazelnut Curry sauce recipe. The perfect pole jam food. Testing at the Ontario Christmas Pole Jam was a success! Not a piece left.
