Wow, I would looove to try a 40mm! Lyme, where did you get your 38? I didn't know that was possible in the US!

I started practicing with a Chrome XPole Xpert 45. Recently I changed to a Brass XPole XPert 40 and I love it. I have little hands, I´m a really short woman, so I needed a better grip. I think I took the best choice because brass is great to enhance grip too. Hope this hepls…

AerialGypsy my hands are 7" by 7" which pole size would you recommend for me?

If your middle finger and thumb touch on a 50, then a 45 would be perfect for you. A 40 MAY be a bit awkward, since your fingers would very likely overlap a lot on it. It is a matter of preference though. Veena is a tall girl and she says she likes her 45 the best, but also likes the 40. I can't really say for sure what you would like more. You might want to go to your local hardware store and put your hands on their pipes there. The 1.5" will be a 38mm, but it is similar to a 40mm, so it can give you an idea as to whether it will be too small for your hands.

Then you could probably do either. It's a toss up really. Although you might have an easier time on a 45 thigh hold wise. You're pretty lean, so your thigh holds might be much more difficult on a 40. Honestly, though, I think you'll be fine on any size. You're amazingly strong.
