I also discovered that it doesn’t let you go on if you click the button that you didn’t complete it, in addition to giving you a message that says something like, “if you don’t like starting over, stop quitting!” If it’s going to give me mean messages when I don’t succeed, I think it should give me nice messages on all the days I did succeed! 🙂
I’ve thought about going down to easy but someone said it lowered all the numbers even for the days they had done like taking away their progress. Because I’m type A I haven’t wanted to do that. I did manage to do my 3 min 20 sec today, but it was brutal.
I’ve been watching various TED talks on You Tube while I do it to try to distract myself.

I’ve decided to stop the timer when I need to and do the time in sections if that’s what needs to happen. I’m still doing the entire time, but there’s no way I can hold it in one go
-
Just did 166 (with breaks) I can hold it longer than my first go but then it gets too much. I started on 46 seconds, I could do the 115 seconds but now I can only hold 60 seconds or so. Improvement but frustrating. I think more rest days are something they should think about. The bridge and sit-up challenges break more frequently and the bridge challenge alternates reps going up and down (one day 53 the next 48 eg)

-
I realize I failed to complete my thought in my last post–if you click that you didn’t complete it, it doesn’t let you go on to the next day at all.
And Type A = anal rententive, OCD, perfectionist type person.

Don’t feel frustrated about this challenge…. keep in mind that many challenges are not set up in a way that allows for reasonable progression. Doing something strength related over and over without adequate rest usually doesn’t work for many people. When I designed my ab challenge I made sure muscle groups where not over worked, however it was still meant to be a challenge so it is not easy!
Also I’m not sure that doing any of the popular meme challenges will improve strength significantly for most people, that’s not to say some won’t see results.

I’m up for an August Abs Challange!!! That would be great Veena.!
-
Yes please!! I know I started this thread but I’ve pretty much completely abandoned the planks…sorry guys 😛
-
I know, this one seemed to be all the rage so I’m disappointed it hasn’t gone well! But hey, we all tried, and that’s an achievement in itself. Thanks to all of you for giving it a go with me 🙂
I agree with the rest of you, not enough breaks, it’s too tough. Veena I am super excited for your challenge, we’re learning aerial inverts in class and I can’t quite manage it yet so I’m keen to work on my core! -
Am I the only one still hanging in there? Today will be day 15. I don’t think I can ever do the 5 minutes of day 30. I probably will drop down to easy one of these days. But I keep on going. Just to the best of my ability. I am also doing the bridge challenge. That gets upped by 5 each day. But that is very doable.

I’m with you, sassylina! If it gets too hard I will add in extra ‘repeat’ days to acclimatise more slowly. Just starting tonight’s challenges. I hate the wall sit!!
-
Still here too, but I am at the beginning, soooo
… not so hard for now. -
I’m still in so far, tomorrow will be day 13 since it wouldn’t let me progress until I completed the one I failed at, which I did two days later.
-
I’m still going to continue but I will increase the time a bit slower and maybe only do it every second day for the remaining time if I need to. I suppose though technically that’s still not completing it :/
-
I’m interested in trying the plank challenge! When I was poling regularly about 2.5 years ago, I loved doing planks! I can’t recall exactly how long I could hold one for, but I’m pretty sure it was longer than a minute.
Since then, the first plank I tried was yesterday in Veena’s hard core warmup. I’m feeling it today. LOL!! 😀

Oh, and as for the app, I can’t get it to work, either.
I have an iPhone 5S. Is that what the others who can’t get it to work are also using? Maybe they haven’t updated the app to the latest iOS.
If that’s the case, I might try it on my son’s iPhone (my old one). Hopefully it’ll work on that.

Well done grayeyes! PoleTigress, that definitely counts and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. ‘There are many routes to a successful outcome’ and all that jazz…
Ferrous, I’m on Android (Samsung Galaxy S3). -
I looked on the app developer’s Facebook page and on the first post I see by someone else to their page, they have the same issue. Seems it was the latest update (to the app, I assume) that killed it, and that they’ve sent a fix through.
This is regarding the iPhone version, so I assume the same happened with other versions.
A screen shot taken just now.
