I dont think there was a stream of the amateur competition. 🙁 I wanted to see that even more than the professional competition!! if you do find it will you post it here? I was really searching and trying to find and couldnt find anything. yes! amber wolf is amazing! and Ashley Fox is so delicate and pretty like a little pole fairy.

I was on definitely on point with trying to find the link to the amateur competition but unfortunately they didn’t air it 🙁

I have been seeing a few clips from other pole events going down at the Arnold on IG and I guess that’s all I’m going to get, lol

    You guys are very welcome!

I loved watching it too. Thanks for sharing. I don’t feel qualified to comment on the performances, although I really liked Ashley Fox. Hopefully I can get to her studio. That being said, my biggest gripe was with the male emcee. And yes I am judging. To me I thought he was rude, not funny, and at times a bit sexist. Also, the show started with him talking to the winner of the fitness comp. she was wearing a thong bikini. Why in the world would they then have the dialogue about sports bra and shorts and he made that snide comment about how little clothing polers wear. Seriously, our outfits looked like tents in comparison to weight lifting and fitness clothing! He was the most offensive aspect of the whole show.

I really enjoyed seeing all the pros, too, and thought they were all wonderful. And wasn’t that the Jule Sheridan that is here on Studio Veena? Nice job, Jule!
Thanks chemgoddess1 for letting us know about youtube. It will be interesting to see the amateur routines, too.

I competed in IFBB pro fitness (the division onstage before pole with the routines) prior to doing pole and aerial. Maybe coming from that industry, I can offer a little insight:) you have to realized that the promoter removed women’s bodybuilding and added pole fitness to the Friday night main show. Previously, pole fitness was an expo event. They are trying to increase ticket sales and ‘sell’ bodybuilding fans on pole fitness. There are many in the bodybuilding community who don’t feel pole belongs at a bodybuilding show (there are also many who feel the bikini division is a joke). There is a perception that pole fitness is about sex, not fitness, and has no place at the Arnold main stage. Keeping all that in mind, I think it was very well done. They got knowledgeable commentators who in my opinion did a great job of educating people who have never seen pole fitness.
The Arnold sports festival is HUGE. You have to realize if you have never been just how many different events are held in one weekend, and you have to realize it is a HUGE deal for

that really sucks if they removed womens bodybuilding to add pole. wtf? how is that even okay. I want to see my pole stuff but damn, why take away the womens bodybuilding that has already been established there for many years? that makes me sad for the bodybuilding fans.
