I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubble here….but it seems too good to be true. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I’m a little concerned, because the only videos they show of it, have the base covered with either sand, or what looks like heavy mats. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I don’t know…….If anyone here has actually used this pole, I would love to hear how it holds up without the mats or covered in the sand. I’m always on the look out for new poles, the more quality poles we can get out to people the better!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Is that the same pole someone posted a link to with the shady filming??? With the black areas around the screen, and also had the mats over the base??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Yeah sorry to be another "bubble burster"…

Thanks for posting that Andrea. This would be a DREAM pole if it were available with spin and static instead of having to chose between the two. It comes with the mats in a choice of colours. I BET it’ll be SUPER expensive though! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

To answer my own question, yes, that’s the same pole Lola posted about a while back:

    http://www.studioveena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=330&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

They made a new video so it’s not the same one it was back then, but the link is to the same page under her thread.

Oh and did anyone else notice that FELIX was one of the people on the pole in that video??? They took it to the championships to have them test it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

i still don’t like it. i feel like it’s another peek-a-boo pole and carmen electra pole. i don’t trust it. look at how heavy those mats and plus its probably buried in the sand too. and what’s that knob at the bottom of the pole there? im being super mean in this post but i just don’t trust it i tell ya https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    I dunno.
    Deb Riley supports them.

You’ve got three bonafied badasses on the pole so far. One is a super-supporter. Two may just be supporting it because they give money to WPD- BUT considering it’s stood up as a podium-less podium pole, while it may not be the best option for a home poler- it does give you a lot of venue options.. Obviously. The thing is seen in both sand and water, and in a gym.. with mysterious black background!

Anywayyys. I’m betting you’d only buy it because you’re doing supertours. and if you’re that famous someone is going to let you try it before you buy it. You’ll be fine.

OK, here’s something I don’t understand: why the heck would anyone want to pole in the water?! Um, don’t we spend a lot of time drying off our hands and discussing sweaty palms and dry skin contact with the pole? Out here in Vegas, one of the big hotels is featuring a pole in their pool. HUH? I guess it’s for drunk people posing on the pole. Too funny. Also, with this new type of pole, do you notice in a lot of pictures it looks like it’s bending? I’m not a physics genius, so unless the base is a zillion pounds, how does it not tip over? And if it’s a zillion pounds, then how is it so portable? I’m sorry to sound so negative, but I just don’t get it!

I am having a custom pole made for my boat! That’s as close to poling and water I’ll go!

It does kinda sound too good to be true huh Goddess. hehe well it would be pretty nice if it’s legitimate. I guess we’ll see in June. I would love a 38 mm!!! *crossing fingers* But how awesome would it be to have the Studio Veena Conference at the beach!!! OMG!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif hehe

Yogabeachbabe does make a lot of sense hehe The visuals just look pretty hot. I love the beach and I love to pole. It would be pretty awesome to have those 2 together! But it does seem like poling in the water would be pretty tough https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I’m such sucker for marketing haha

And OMG, how cool is it to have a pole on a boat!! cbr that would rock. You should take a picture posing on the pole with a fishing pole in your hand. that would be awesome!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I saw that ! looks cool but the base is way to big to be placed in my house or a friends. they show people climbing and doing tricks but when they have fast momentum the pole looks like ill tip over haha. plus thats more of a studio thing? IDk the permanent and xpoles look nicer. this might be a best option if u dont wanna mess up your ceiling?

Deb Rileys’ going to do a tour around the UK soon with these poles so we can see for ourselves what they are like. I’m looking forward to it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Don’t personally want a 38mm but a stageless stage pole does float my boat.

Watching the vids I don’t see that it has any more flex than the X-stage or any other stage pole does (granted the gals on it are tiny)

Looks unstable! I’ve got a platinum stage and it doesn’t have nearly as much bend, and no sway at all. Of course it weighs 150 lbs and is weighted down with an extra 160 lbs of sand in the stage. You can’t get stability in a free standing pole without a LOT of weight. Notice the girls in the video were mostly moving slowly and not putting crazy torque on the pole? This pole would only be good for lightweight stuff; you couldn’t go nuts on it. What’s the point if you can’t go as fast and hard as possible?! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

I just can’t wait to see it in action without extra weight on the bottom, if fact I would just really like to see what the bottom actually looks like….its never been shown..strange…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I do think the 38mm would be fun though. I wonder what the price will be?

Oh yeah that definitely wouldn’t suite me. One of my Jungle Cat jumps and I’d have a broken neck https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I like it hard and ruff!!!!! Wait that didn’t sound right. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

    Hi All,

I have to say I’m with the nay’sayers on this one. I’m not too good on the engineering (so my explination may be a wee bit ropey) but the X-Pole works on the basis that the two points (the ceiling and the floor) at which it’s jammed into give the pole the strength to withstand the force that is your weight plus the force at which you throw yourself around at, PLUS the momentum at which your weight and the force you push your self off at carries you round the pole (don’t we all feel huge now). In order for this thing to work proberly, the base must equal this weight plus some to ensure stability. Which means it must be really heavy to move around. Considering that a whole standard x-pole can be lifted (alittle awkwardly because of it’s size) and carried around by me (133lbs give or take 10lbs) the chances of this being as mobile as it says are slim.

Crawling (rather heavily) back under my rock.

I think personally that we should wait until a few of us have had the chance to test it out and report back before condemning it.

I’ve spoken with Riley about this pole and she is really excited over it and I trust her judgement. I’m going to go an test it out as soon as I get the chance to (which hopefully should be either this month or next month) because let’s face it, I’m a much bigger (and heavier) lass than Riley and I’d like to see if it could stand up to the Lola test. I am actually really excited over this pole and I don’t think I’ve seen enough to make me poo poo it at this stage.

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif Hey, I’m new remember? I don’t know about the good poles and the bad poles, LOL. But I guess I should have researched better before making my own pole purchase because…. I got my Carmen Electra pole in the mail yesterday https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif .

My husband put it together for me and I didn’t even waste my time trying to swing on it even once. That thing is a piece of crap. I should have known a pole that came in 3 pieces was a bad idea. It was completely unstable and wobbily and just all around F***** up.

I’m pretty bummed about not being able to dance at home yet (especially after the Flirty Girl fiasco that I’m too embarrased to mention) but my hubby says he’ll get me a "real" pole for Mothers day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Man I wish I had found you guys sooner….

Awww Sissy I’m so sorry. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I feel bad for laughing now. I wouldn’t have if I knew you had bought one. I’m so very sorry. Something really should be done about that company pushing out that piece of crap. It’s really not right to dope people out of their money like that and lead them under false pretenses. I’m glad that your hubby is gonna get you a good pole tho!
