  • NEW Lesson Section – Quick Lessons

Posted by Veena on December 11, 2014 at 10:46 am

I love using Instagram, but the instructor in me always feels a bit frustrated with the 17 second limit. I end up receive questions on placement along with others asking how did I enter or exit a combo. Posting didn’t allow any time to breakdown what I’m doing in the clip, and it drove me crazy. Yet, I still loved sharing my ideas and tricks there. Well, a few days ago I had an AH HA moment and so, a new section was born! The Quick Lesson section!!!!!!!!!!

Quick Lessons will be a place where I’ll post a breakdown or follow up to what you see on my Instagram along with things you won’t see on IG! I can share new ideas I’ve had during my pole time or workouts, and share tons of combos for ALL levels! I’m hoping the Quick Lessons will also be great for instructors or even competitors looking for new content!! I’ve already added 3 lessons to give everyone an idea of what QL’s will look like. You will find related lesson below the main player and I will place these lessons in groups like I have done with other sections. I hope everyone enjoys the new section and please feel free to share this with your pole friends! I’m super excited!

Subscribers on SV can go right to the source in the lesson section!!!

Instagram followers: I will hash tag any IG clip that has a lesson here with #quicklesson and #QL along with my usual #SV #studioveena and #veena.

Facebook followers: You will find the lesson link in the description of any IG clip posted on our Studioveena FB page!

Twitter Followers: You will find the lesson link in the post as well with Hash Tags

Here’s a link to one of them https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/54892296-061c-4e04-8c79-6da90a9aa0eb

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love how polished and thorough your lessons are but sometimes you’re right, you just want a quick and dirty explanation!

Lucca was just saying something about wishing people would #spinny or static sometimes. And it’s true. Sometimes I just want to see things a bit slower with a little explanation!

Also have related lessons is great!

I was successful with it like once 6 months ago and completely lost it. My body always tilts and goes into a spin..Id love some tips on how to secure this one into a more locked stable hold..Thanks girl!!

These will not be in-depth lessons Oakmama…however I do plan on added to my Veena’s Tips and split grip along with knee pit is on the list of tip lessons. Those are in-depth. As Allyson said the Quick lessons are down and dirty quick. 🙂

Really neat idea, Veena! Definitely something to work up to, and something I can look forward to working on once I can do all those advanced moves.
    And fun floorwork, too 🙂

Super excited. I am not the most creative when it comes to putting moves together or figuring out how to get into one move from another move. Really looking forward to this section.

I think this week I’ll add some spinning pole for all levels!

I haven’t done any chair work since I taught one class this summer so I’ll have to dust it off I guess!

The quick lessons are awesome, Veena! What a great idea. I too would love to see chair lessons, I have quite a thing for chair dancing but often don’t know where to start.

Love it! Perfect for the A.D.D. poler in me that just wants to “rush” in so to speak. It’s great you’ve added links to the moves we need to know how to do before attempting. I’might so glad a finally purchased a subscription.
