Last week I watched a pole dancing competition, they were all amazing and grace full, making it look effortless, ive always been a little sporty and was a gymnast from 4yrs to 16yrs. So thought I mite be ok at pole, so after the show.my friend show my the fire man, and another move, and it felt like my arms were going to rip off and I cramped up. Now I feel like am never guna be able to do it? Did you all feel this way, ive had two kids and fully tummy tuck to repair ripped abnormal wall. So I have no core strength. Guess I just want reasurance everyone feels this useless to start with.

I have two kids, tummy tuck and started in my 40s w no background in anything! Pole is much harder than anyone gives it credit for. But YES, keep it up….if I can do it, so can you!

How long after your tummy tuck did you start? How did it feel? I am nearly 7months post op feel great but do feel its super tight if I try bend backwards. It feels like it will never stretch out. I used yo ve very flexible but now I cant even do a slight limp movement.

Don't feel bad at all Nessie. Spins are not beginner moves and require you to build up strength before working on them. Try starting with the basics, everyone can learn to pole dance! Also keep in mind that the dancers in pole comps have trained hours and hours a day.

I would suggest talking with your dr about flexibility and your tummy tuck. 🙂

I was AWFUL to start with, couldn't even get my feet off the ground and it took me weeks and weeks to get anywhere, I almost gave up too but I am SO GLAD I didn't! Keep at it and take your time, I know it's easy to get frustrated but your body will thank you if you take it at your own pace, and the results will come 🙂
