I was thinking about getting the studioveena pole. I was hoping people that have already purchased one would post their likes and dislikes….I also have 2 titanium gold xpoles for sale. One is 6 months old, 50mm, barely used, $275.00. The 2nd is older, but I purchased all new parts, except the b pole, and the base. It’s also 50mm, $200.00, I also have many extensions that I’m willing to throw in if needed. Thx.

Both of the xpoles are titanium gold 50mm, and both are the newer version with the xjoint. One is just older than the other with new parts. Anyone have anything to say about the studioveena pole???

I have a LM pole which makes the SV pole and it is by far my favorite overall pole! Powdercoat has the best grip for me and the spin is also good. I do like PS spin better though. As for the ease of putting it up and down, I can do it in 10 seconds flat! Therefore LM poles are my overall favorite.

Does it feel as sturdy as a xpole or platinum stages? What’s different about the spin. My xpole spins too fast for me.

YES, actually more sturdy than the X pole, since mine shifts a lot when on spin. The LM poles have an inner tube so when u spin you do have some friction therefore it doesn’t spin as freely IMHO. But it will spin mighty fast if u want it too!!!

….my X pole shifts. My LM has NEVER moved since it is mounted on a little button on the ceiling….

Staci123 – Make sure you watch this video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8YW4HEd3gQ

The big things with the StudioVeena pole are how fast you can set the pole up and how fast you can go from static to spin and back.  It is the most convenient pole out there.

Platinum Stages can go from static to spin quickly but can't go back to static without stopping and inserting a pin.  When dancing on an Xpole you have to choose static or spin before the dance because it uses a locking screw.

Setup on any other pole is at least a several minute process.  The StudioVeena Pole goes up and comes down in seconds.  This is an important consideration as people are more apt to exercise when you don't have to spend time setting up your equipment.

I have seen the video. Thanks. I wanted to hear what people thought that have bought it and are able to compare it with other poles…..

My thoughts may not count but I’ll post anyway. I have around 10 poles! All different finishes including the titanium gold, and the Studioveena pole is my all time favorite. I love that I don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to warm my body and pole enough to use it! Honestly, its allowed me far more practices time and less warm up time!!!

My first pole was a painted finish, and now I have the titanium gold- and I agree with Veena, always sticky(the paint finish)- almost always good grip. With my titanium I find that I'm having to take a lot more time warming up not only myself, but the pole more than anything.

I'm considering a powder coated pole for my first pole..but i've heard several people on here saying spins and drops have caused them to lose skin?!??! I'd hate for that to happen to me 🙁

I have never lost any skin. I love the powder coat grip the best of all!

I've never lost any skin on my SV pole, not that it can't happen. However, I have ripped skin on other finishes, so it can happen on any pole. Lost a chunk off my foot, my wrist and hands! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

One other thing I have found interesting, my calluses don't rip or become as dry as they did with other finishes. I find this surprising because I mostly dance with the SV pole on static. I love static spins. I'm looking at my hands right now and you can't even see any calluses and I've been dancing a lot more than usual!!! I'm not saying this is the case with everyone, but I just find it interesting…and good!

Veena, now that you say that…my calluses don't seem as severe since I've been using the SV pole, either!

I think as far as losing skin on spins and drops, it's going to depend on your body type and how long you have been on the pole at any given time. I would say that after a couple of hours my skin is super sticky and I would not want to attempt a drop. It's not so much that I might lose skin (although it's a possibility), it's that the pole gets super warm and it actually gives me kind of a rug burn feeling. It's hot!

However, my purpose for this pole is to be able to get as much out of it as I can, in these summer months especially. If I used my chrome, I would not be able to do half the tricks without having to constantly wipe the pole or risk slipping off. I can easily do without drops while I'm at home…

Wow that's cool, I thought maybe it was just me! I use to always be snagging things with my "callusey" hands. lol

I just bought the studioveena pole. In my opinion it’s the best one. The grip is awesome, and there’s no warm-up needed. I can just start practice at any time!

Hmm good to know it’s not just powder coated that can rip skin. They made it sound a lot scarier ,lol. I ripped a chunk out of my foot on a chrome pole at my studio. I might just be ordering this for my first ever pole!!!

Thank you for all your input. It was exactly what i was looking for. My xpoles are so slippery I can’t even hold myself in split grip. In class we have brass poles and, there not free spinning. They spin not as fast. I can do all kinds of stuff at the studio, but on my poles I can’t do any of the tricks. Wich is getting so frustrating. I will def get the sv pole. Thx.
