UK Pole Jam for the New Year?
Hey guys,
Ok so the first studio veena UK pole jam went very well in November last year. We said we would like to do another in the new year and here it is…so….who is up for it?
I can ask my studio if they will put us up, studio is in Burnley, Lancashire. There isnt a lot locally but we have a lovely big studio with 4 spinny poles. I am sure, money permitting, they will allow us to use it.
Alternatively if someone else has a studio in which they would like to host a SV UK pole jam let us know.
Suggested dates to follow based on studio availability I guess…

All the Studio Veena members agree a date and studio where they will meet up together and pole. In other words ‘a jam’. We met up in Stockport last year in November and had a couple of hours poling together at BeckyBlush’s studio. We got to meet one another and share pole moves, tips, hints etc.
We said we would organise another one so this is the discussion thread to decide where and when 🙂 -
A pole jam is just a chance for us all to get together at a studio and hang out for a couple of hours, work on things, teach each other new moves, give tips, mess around, chat and generally have a great time 🙂

It’s a big trek for the Northerners but there’s a studio by me which can be rented for £15 per hour. There are 7 poles currently with an additional two due to go in. Unfortunately though, only one spins 🙁

Haha! No just a big surprise. Felt like I was wearing a ball and chain first time I tried inverting in mine. I’d also recommend you wear some with an ankle strap unless you want one falling off in your face 🙂

Sorry about the delay in replying I've been away! I am TOTALLY up for this! last time was epic. The following weekends work for me:
26/27 January
9/10th February
16/17th February
I'm working or away every other weekend, assuming we want it before March, that is. Really hope that works with your studio Shona! I still don't have shoes though 🙁

Hey guys I don’t wanna miss out on this one coz I missed out on the last one, if really prefer it like nichtoots to make it April only because the uk pole showcase is in march and most of my weekends are taken up with rehearsals 🙁 I will try and make whatever weekend we decide on though because I don’t want to

I think April could work out best too.
I've just got a new job but I'll probably be working odd shift times (1330 to 2200) and trying to move to a new house at the same time in Feb/March, so it'll be a bit hectic!

I agree April will be best it gives ppl loads of notice and let’s everyone get their money back in order after Xmas spending!

I'm actually heading to the Falklands but have to come back to the UK first. Haven't yet organised my flights back, but i'll probably be around something like the weekend of the 6th and potentially the weekend of the 27th and also Sat 4th May. (Assuming we have a weekend jam.)
Please don't worry about organising dates around me, I have just found out that I am pregnant. Obviously it's still very early days, but not feeling too great at the moment, and certainly not been on the pole. If the jam is on whilst I'm around then i'll certainly come down, even if i just watch and video y'all, if it's not then i'm sure there'll be another one I can come to. xx

Congrats Nich!!!!! And the Falklands… wow that is super cool. I am sooooo jealous.
I'm away the first half of april, but that's ok – just have it whenever suits the most people. If it's the second half I'll be sure to come along 🙂 regardless I will hopefully see many of you at Becky's Dan Rosen workshop!

Ok my studio have said YES. We only have 4 poles but loads of room / matts to practice head stands / floor work etc etc too. I have said April, as that seems the best for all, they just want dates and numbers so everyone put down their date preference here and I shall inform them 😀
There’s a great pub locally too where we could grab some grub afterwards, always thinking about my belly!
