Bragging on my Defiant Dudes!
I want to take a minute and brag on the guys from the Defiant Dudes class at my studio. Two of them decided to perform at our Halloween Showcase – I've linked there videos below.
Derek is a natural with a ton of functional strength. He has been doing pole classes for 4 months and is just zooming through our curriculum! He only danced to this song maybe twice before the showcase. I would have loved to see what he would have come up with if he had actually attempted to put together a routine but I'm still proud of his performance.

Robert started training at the same time as Derek but had to take a month off for surgery. He hadn't been back long when I announced the showcase. Two days later he came in with half a routine already written! All of the choreography is his own and he did such a wonderful job staying in character. I believe we'll see big things out of Robert, as all the instructors are encouraging him to work towards competition. I think with a routine like this, after only three months of training, he will go far!

Wow!!! Derek is a trickster for sure–totally defies gravity! Robert is an artist– no question about it. I just loved his expression, musicality and dramatic flair (plus I just really dig his aesthetic, musically and visually). You are completely justified in bragging about them and congratulate them on their amazing effort!
