So this is just funny I was at my friends house last week and I was looking at the floor and the ceiling and just admiring the height, she noticed what I was doing and asked why are you staring at my floor and ceiling. So I explained why and she was freaking out as if I was going to ask if could install a Pole in her house. I just laughed and said that's not what I was thinking I just love it and wish I had this in my house. Of course she felt retarded after but man I know why people get so up tight about it but come on, she should be proud that she has such great height that if she ever wanted to do Pole she would get great use out of her ceiling heights.

I do the same thing!!!  In fact my mother-in-law just moved in with a granddaughter's new home.  We went to visit and as my mom-in-law was showing us the upstairs, she said "Look, Yolanda, your pole would go perfect in this space with high ceiling."  She sure knows me well LOL

*Laffs*  I thought I was the only person that did this, I even have the hubby doing it as well. My wish list is a mirror play room or a Best Friend that has one!! 😀

Im very lucky with my ceiling height and i LOVE it! A coupleof months ago, we talked about buying our house and we wanted to make sure there was nothing better for us outthere. I catagoricle refused to even concider two of the houses because the ceiling wasn't high enough. My poor guy just have to put up with it I guess 😀

I bought my house twenty years ago. It is a Victorian vernacular circa 1870. When I first saw it, I love the old millwork and abundance of rooms, plus back and front stairs. It was perfect for raising a family! Now that I'm an empty-nester, I discovered ANOTHER reason to love my house–high ceilings! Some folk have said I should sell it and get somewhere smaller, but I CANNOT give up my 9' 4" ceilings and two pole rooms!!! NEVER!!!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Technically, my apartment has vaulted veiliongs, so part of the ceilin gis nice and high…problem is that there isn't a I can put in it without a gagillions screws or bolts.

Sorry, didn't proof read my post. I meant to say that I have high vaulted ceilings, but all poles would require a gillion screws or bolts for a multi piece, so I don't bother.

All I ever do is think of pole. Today in the park I noticed a random pole sticking up out of the ground surrounded by permanent logs…hmmmmmmmmmmmm, now why would they do that??? For the avg pole addict of course!!!!! Come on now….got laughs from the men who were fishing hahaha….was w/ my kids and they got on the pole too.

I'll be moving soon, and the first thing I look at is the ceiling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

When I bought our house nearly 20 years ago, a large kitchen was my priority. It would be SO different house hunting now!

I look at ceiling heights in public spaces too…always looking for a potential off-site location for a pole show/event.

My husband looks at the plumbing and ventilation and I look at ceiling heights when we go out.  I think its a fair trade off!

When I was apartment hunting last fall, I used "ceiling" as my primary search filter on those online ad sites… LOL… and then I got really annoyed by people who talked about ceiling fans in their ads!

yeah, i totally have ceiling envy!

i want to move out and into a new place *just* for higher ceilings so i can have more pole space for tricks! unfortunately, i had bought my flat before i started pole, and i can't afford to upgrade yet, and it doesn't make sense to buy a place just for pole.

but i'm definitely day dreaming and always checking out flats with high ceilings and saying: "i want to live there"… 🙂

<3 we're currently thinking of moving and ceiling height is my #! priority 😉 Not only for pole but Lyra so it's got to have some serious height 😉

I totally do this, too!  If I was poling before we bought our current house, the one we have now would not have been my first choice, mainly because of the low ceilings.  Girl, it makes me long for my small 750sf 1920's bungalow-style "house" which boasted 12ft ceilings!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

LOL, I hate my ceilings…so low, I get one good climb and I'm at the top!  When we move into a new place (not anytime soon) I want high ceilings and I don't care what I have to do to get them!  🙂

yes! I do it all the time, BUT I caught my husband doing it once too!!! LOL We were visiting a friend's place and he was like–"you should put a pole up in here!!!!" But the best part is he felt no need to explain, just said it and moved on. *shrug* https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

You know…looking at the ceilings is a lot better than when I was a nurse and I use to check out everyone's veins!!!

When I started pole with some friends I pouted about my 25+ vaulted ceilings, & pouted that the friends with perfect ‘pole room conditions’ were not into pole-(thought it would be easier). New friends know I won’t give up asking them to get hooked on pole so they will get a pole room. I might be moving, all my requirements were 2 toilets, storage, ‘fitness’ room. man-in-my-life is buying the house, with parents’ gift- mom hates the idea/lifestyle (tongue out to her) so the spare room, other spaces will be empty till…. I WILL get my pole room b*tch inlaw. How to get around this?
Any who I look at ceiling and leg parameter in most rooms.
Ever notice if your city sign posts are changing to square posts instead of poles? Mine are, pouts again. Studio- extend your hours!!
