Flexy challange?
Posted by ellieRox on April 4, 2012 at 5:24 pmHi everyone, I always ALWAYS talk about how much I want to increase my flexibilty and always intend on working on it but I am never consistant in my stretching. Also Im bad at gauging my progress as I dont take pics, I'm sure there are many of us who are the same! Would anyone be interested in a flexy challenge in that we post progress pics each week and work in opposition with someone who is around the same flexy level as you? I think it would really give me the extra push I need at the min and seeing other progress would really encorage me. Thanks 🙂

wohoo thats great girls! 😀 It would prob b best 2 post the pics under this discussion to keep them all in one place? My flexy aims are splits progression and back flexibilty. I want to be able to master the ballerina on the pole some day! What level of flexibilty are all you girls? I'll post my first pics up tonight after I've stretched

I've always been fairly flexible as a girl.
I only just started actually trying to get my splits this past week and I started out with just a few inches to go to the floor. My right is my better side, though they're both pretty close.

@EllieRox-Im trying to conquer the ballerina as well since thats what we've been working on class. I can "kinda" get it from the floor, but get lost when I try to do it from a climb. My flexy goals are:
1) Middle split by July, Im pretty far from the floor
2) Side splits by May or June, gotta work on squaring my hips
3) Back flexability; we've been working on contortion-like stretches in our sexy flexy class sooo…
Hopefully one day I'll have a perfect bridge

I have been working on my splits for a year on and off, can get close to the floor on one side but still not with square hips. Middle splits are nowhere near. The bridge however I am quite pleased with, only really been trying it for 6months and can do a pretty good bridge now 🙂 well at least I think so… I'll post my week 1 pics later, off for some pole practice now 🙂

I am totally in! I will post pics tonight or tomorrow. My goals are all splits and the bridge. I can do the bridge now but I want it to be really tight and be able to put one leg up, just like Alethea Austin <3 <3!

What a great idea! I'm just starting pole and my flexibility is non-existent. This would be very motivational. Accountability is a huge help to keep working at it.

Sounds like a plan..I’m up for anything that will keep me vaguely motivated to stretch!

I'd like to try too but I am so stiff and inflexible and I feel like I do not stretch properly. So if there are any other absolute beginner stretchers looking to get in on this thread, gimme a shout! 🙂

Yeah make me thing of the ''split in front of the Christmas tree'' challenge we had. I haven't work on my spil since then…bad me! So i'm totally in and if people are interressed that i start back Bendy Buddies, let me know it was fun to do. I stop because i was always alone in the chat.
