  • Can I mount my X-Pole Xpert directly to the beams in my garage?

I have an unfinished garage. There are only rafters for the ceiling. There is a middle joist that is twice as big as the others. It is probably 4-4.5" wide. I am wondering if I can mount the pole to that? Or if I should take some plywood and nail it to the joists then mount the pole? Any advice on this would be great. Also my garage floor is concrete. Will that cause any problems with the bottom part slipping? I have had my pole up before, but it was in my living room on carpet. Thanks 😀

You would be best off ordering the ceiling block.  If you use a block rather than the dome you actually use less pressure to mount your pole and hence there is less chance of bowing.  If you are interested we can get you a quote on a block or you can order them directly off the X-Pole site http://xpoleus.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_26&zenid=4cnjo726og902o0m7chp3051d7

Thanks. I looked it up on the website for $72 with shipping. Can you do any better with shipping to California?

No I can’t however if you live in the la metro you should be able to avoid shipping altogether by picking it up at Xpole’s Hollywood location.

I put my pole up in a garage with a cement floor and had no trouble with it slipping.
