Pix of PS 1 piece pole
Posted by Dancing Paws on November 19, 2011 at 3:46 pmFYI ladies, I posted some pix of the PS 1 piece pole I just got, in case you are intersted in how the pole works. I know their website doesn't have the info on that, so I thought it might help you guys to see pictures of the pole. I haven't put it up yet, cuz I can't lift anything, but I took pictures of all the important parts to let you know how it can be top and bottom loading, how the height is adjusted, etc. I'll try to take more pix once it's actually up.
Hope this helps answers any questions for girls who are looking at the 1 piece pole!

Thanks for posting those pictures! Please let me know what its like once you have it up. What hight did you get? And more pics would rock too. Ive been highly considering getting the ps 1 piece and Ive actually been looking for posts just like this. Oh and can you let me know if you feel any flex in the pole as well?
-
I can do that. JeHanne also ordered the same pole as me. She should be getting hers this week as well. She got the permanent ceiling mount as well (I didn't.)
My ceiling height is 7'11" (so about standard ceiling height.)
-
I'm guessing you ordered it around the same time I did! How do you like the grip?
-
I got a a PS 1 piece pole a 50mm! I am a beginner so I can do alot on it yet, but I like it! I don’t have a any problems putting it up by myself and it does not move when working on it!
-
I haven't put it up yet (I won't for another week…can't lift anything cuz I had a procedure done on my arm.) I can tell you what I think about the grip later when I actually get it up. For right now I get to just stare at it longingly. 🙁
-
wow it looks really nice! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i never saw that model b4. thanks!
-
yeah, the brass one looks nice! if i get a second pole, that's what i'm going to get – either that or the black l'il mynx 🙂

Nice lookin' Pole!!!
Mine should be arriving Monday. I have to remove a ceiling fan before I can try it out. I did order the vaulted ceiling adapter as they call it. The 'semi permanent' option. Really hoping all looks as expected under the ceiling fan base. Excited to get my single piece brass polin on!
Reminds me to add Brasso to my shopping list.
-
Someone mentioned distilled vineagar, lemon juice, and salt to clean brass. I can't remember who. I wonder if it is less abrasive?
-
I looked at the Brasso ingredients and it does have some abrasive items, I was wondering if that is what removes all the build up on the pole and buffs it? I dont even know what all that discoloration is that appears on brass over time is.
I was hoping the pole install instruction has care and cleaning instructions but if not will call PS to see what they suggest for care.
So excited for my pole to arrive tomorrow! Thanks again for sharing the pics, pretty shiny!
-
I think the brown is either oxidation (or reduction…I forget my chemistry.) Either way, it's better to not put abraisives on the pole. Mild would be better. I think I'll do some googling…
-
I've been using methylated spirits to clean my pole. I don;t plan to brasso it unless it gets super grimy.
-
Do you think rubbing alcohol (isopropanol) would work too? That's what I used on my TG x pole. I read some websites that say to use soap and warm water to clean brass, but maybe that's if it's REALLY dirty.
-
Awesome I cant wait to hear your reviews 😀
As for cleaning brass poles, the way the clubs would clean them was brasso, let sit for a few min, take a clean towel and start rubbing your pole like your waxing a car. Flip the towel over, and use the clean side to really buff it. If you still feel some residue use a bit of rubbing alchol to get rid of that, or in between cleanings.

I added 1 more pic of the bottom of the ceiling plate so you guys can see what the base and ceiling plates have on the bottom. They are fully covered with the nubbins.
-
Thanks for all the pics & soon to come info, I was looking into PS brass for tall ceilings, but shopping around. Tell me how you like the spin, and switch to static mode
-
Okay, got the pole up and running! I LOVE IT! The grip is GREAT, AWESOME, FANTASTIC, TO DIE FOR! I tried a pole sit on it and an advanced plank and honestly I cannot tell a difference between it (meaning the 45mm) and my old 50mm, but I can tell a HUGE difference on it for spins. OH MAN IT IS GREAT! and the set up was so simple. Once I got the adjuster cover off and the screw mechanism back in I got it set up so quickly. I set it up top loading because I didn't want to deal with the adjuster sleeve, but it was still really easy to set up.
Onto questions…
1) What height did you get? I got 7'11.
2) Oh and can you let me know if you feel any flex in the pole as well? Seems sturdy to me. 🙂
3) How do you like the grip? See above. 😀
4) Tell me how you like the spin, and switch to static mode. I love it. It is really easy getting it to go from static to spin mode. The spin mode is really smooth. The only difficult part can be trying to get the pin back into the hole, but it's not rocket science. You just need enough lighting over the pole to see through the hole as you turn it to find when you have found the hold on the base. I just have crappy lighting in my dining room.
I also added a picture of it set up and of some of the "flaws" that come in the brass (so you don't get a shock when you get the pole with tarnished pock marks or tiny scratches.) Brass is soft and it susceptible to all kinds of dings and stuff. You won't notice these flaws when you are dancing on the pole though, theya re merely cosmetic.
-
I love your enthusiasm! I can tell you REALLY really like it!
So to top load it… you just slide off the sleeve and flip the pole around? It looks gorgeous!!!
Mine goes up Friday or Saturday… Geting baseboards installed in my room Friday then have to remove ceiling fan and cap wires. I am so excited! Especially after reading about how happy you are with yours.
-
Yes. You pull the sleeve up, unscrew the height adjuster so it comes off, pull the sleeve off (which takes some effort, then screw the height adjuster back on. Put the base on the "top" of the pole, put the stationary pin in, then you would tighten your pole up to the ceiling mount, make sure it's level, crank it fully tight, then screw the big nuts down to the top of the pole.

I knew you were gonna love it!! Good thing u gave it a chance https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Just saw it, the nubbins are a great idea!! But, i dont think your pole is straight ( the top leans to the right). Id love, love, love a 1 piece pole, but dont own my place ( so moving with a 9ft pole would be a pain)… unless, you can get extensions for it, as in on top of the pole??? Can you??

@polldoll-it has 6 inches of adjustment..that is what the cover is for,to cover the adjustor..
