They are beautiful, and i LOVE the One Hot Minute videos—I keep watching for the September one!
-
i love these! they're awesome conditioning and i referenced this exact video on another thread in the forum as to how to smoothly chopper/inverted V on a spin pole! great video =)
-
Ohhhh….very cool! I've got to try this! It reminds me of gymnasts on the pommel horse. 🙂
-
i think i saw that thread, amy–do you happen to remember which thread that was? i'd like to re-read it.
-
ha! i did a couple searches, couldn't find it, tried ONE more time, and ta-dah!

Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this! I got a laugh out of the "I can do this … not even close" comment. Will be adding this move to my list of 'must learn'.
-
beautiful move! i tried it and it´s a lot of fun!
miss polefitness germany did also a fan kick combo at the beginning of her permance, if you like to try that, too:
-
Well just attempted this- it’s hard!! I can do it but very very sloppily! Its such a pretty move I’ll definately work on it 🙂
-
thank you for the link, amy! and emotion–i'll check out the fan kick combo!
Go, tinydancer! yay!
JeHanne-yeah, LOL. I am always optimistic!

Ooohh very cool. I do a similar one in this video that I call the scissor spin. 🙂 This is the only video I have of it. I often do one more twist instead of going into the ballerina.

love it eva! I love doing the beginning of that combo on spin–what's it called? i loved the whole vid–saw lots of cool stuff i want to try. 🙂
-
Thanks. 🙂 Do you mean where I pull myself up before doing the scissir move? I don't have a name for it, i just call it a pull up spin 😛
-
yes, that's the one. i'd never done that one before i got a spinny pole. i LOVE it, cool to see other transitions into other combos. 🙂
-
i love this move! my teacher always does this trick; i would love to get here one day… all the more reason just to keep pushing harder =) good luck; you'll get it!
-
Bump! are you sure this is possible? ha ha.
She's spinning to the right and kicking around to the left, right? I'm trying to understand the mechanics.
-
Hahhaha reverse fan kick LOOKS easy but boy, it's much harder than it looks. Took me a couple tries to perfect it. One of the Crunch teachers taught us in early August and pretty much everyone, no matter how advanced, had trouble! I think it's using more core and opposite muscles from what we normally use.
-
you also need strong arms if you want to repeat it a few times =)
-
thank you guys–i wanted to make sure i was seeing it right as it did NOT seem possible and looks soooo deceptively easy!! i will get this move someday. yi yi yi.
-
i see what my problem is. i cant even do an aerial fan kick! i thought i was strong but geez! humbled AGAIN.
-
i filmed my aerial fankicks today and posted the video =)
-
yeah–impressive!! I can do kicks from the floor but can't get my legs that high when I'm on the pole.
-
Yes I do these perfectly! (but not at the moment being pregnant-don't do anything abdominal or too much core right now)
It uses a ton of core work. You have to do them every week, just like your inverts, hand springs and caterpiller and shoulder mounts to keep up with the ab work.
Keep working at it and you'll get it!
