Just wanna plug our site here. Our site is mobile enabled (you can see the details at the bottom of the screen on the right column. When you purchase the lessons you can watch them on your iPhone and most Android phones without installing another app on your phone. Plus our lessons have full audio explanations on how to execute each move. It's like an app only 1 million times better.

I don't really know what this is.. is it only for phone or can you view it on your pc also? I downloaded some pole pocket app a while back, but it only has a few spin moves on it and that's it. Is this something different that you pay for?

I bought it not too long ago. I like it. It can be viewed on you iphone, ipod, or ipad even if you don't have wifi, whcih is good fo rme cuz I don't have any fancy phones or anything. It won't work in iTunes itself; it has to be on a device. It has moves catagorized by level, some combos, some felix cane stuff, etc. If you are really good at remembering the pole moves, then you probably don't need it.
As webmaster pointed out, there are Veena's lessons, and there is wikipole, which has picture references.

I have it. I love that ap! Adam Jay was genius when he made it. It basically runs through moves in real time. You can carry it on the go. It's so worth it. I've bought it twice each time I've had a phone since. It also has felix on it and she does a lot of free styles and things of that nature. Its great for learning other names of moves too. And its great to see several different ways to do things and it has combinations from beginner to PFA expert and also has tons of other stuff. I use Veena and Pocket Pole Studio like crazy! Get it girl!

I started with the pocket pole app and still love it. SV however, breaks it down. Basically I watch the pocket pole app and then try to see if I can find it on SV. I've tried learning just by watching the app but I find SV makes it "click" that much more but I second Theo. It has tons of great video and pictures. Its organized very well too which I love.

Just get the ‘live streaming’ version of it first, that’s what I have, it was only like $3.99 or something. The only difference is you need to have Internet connected on phone to view it. It’s ok I guess, Veenas lessons are 1000 times better though 😉

Yeah I think I might have to take the plunge and get the lessons. I still can’t do the bloody superman and it’s really frustrating! Think i need it broken down- that and other moves!!

Hi guys! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif I have about 350 lessons…..Here is a few free samples of the lessons
Pole sit https://www.studioveena.com/user_registrations/example_view/18f0621c-b91f-11df-856f-001b214581be
Butterfly https://www.studioveena.com/user_registrations/example_view/4cd0054b-9630-42dd-9748-057f0ac37250
and here is a look at the one of the dance routines: Beginner- This only shows the dance not the full instructions. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/0fb1598c-b90a-11df-856f-001b214581be
All lessons are in order so all you have to do is start from the beginning, no guessing what move should come next. The stretching and conditioning are set up that way as well https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

Haven’t tried the sample lessons but I have tried to watch the regular lessons and nothing.

Just tries the sample lessons and it still did not work. Do I have to enable something on my phone or change my settings? It would be great to be able to watch the lessons without having to be on my pc.

no…it doesn't work with your phone then… booooo https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I have the app and really like it. The positive is that you don't have to be connected to the internet to watch the vids — the vids are downloaded and stored in your device — so there is no download delay. The negative is there is no audio or explanation. Veenas vids are great cuz she shows you how to do the move and explains it. Both are good for different reasons, imo. Hope that helps. 🙂

Has anyone heard of success with the Pocket Pole Studio app on an ipad? I just received one for my birthday and, of course, the first thing I check for in the app store is Pocket Pole! I see it there for iPhone, but not for iPad. I could have sworn that I have seen someone running this app on an iPad before! I have a blackberry so I haven’t been able to use the app before – other than drooling over my friends’ iPhones as they use it – and I am chomping at the bit to get it for myself!

In theory, all iPhone apps should work on iPad as well, but not the other way, iPad apps that stated for iPad only will not run on iPhone. IPhone apps running on iPad will not show as full screen, but can ne scaled to 2x the size as it’s shown on iPhone, however it looks a little pixelated.
-
@k2weller – Curious is right, any iPhone app should run on an iPad. Pocket Pole is however not built for the iPad so the application will either run small or large and pixelated depending on how you prefer to run it.
Our site has specially encoded videos for tablets however. If you get our lessons you will get hi-res video on your iPad along with full audio and instruction. This does require an internet connection though.

I had the free app first (we are talking about Felix's app, right?)–pocket pole studio lite–and I enjoyed it for a while. But it was limited since I was not able to see anything beyond the beginner stuff. Then, I got the pocket pole streaming version and I really felt like I got a deal. I would watch the moves and combos over and over to try to figure out the move. So yes, at the time it was worth it. When I came across Veena's older stuff on youtube and realized how knowledgeable she was about the muscles and proper form, I knew I needed to give her a try. I decided to do the "month by month and see how it goes" thing but I can honestly say that now I would never ever think about just relying on the app alone. Yes, it is nice to have the app and say "oh cool! I think I can do that!!" BUT there is no one showing you how (it is NOT tutorials), what NOT to do so you don't injure yourself, etc. Webmaster is right about the lessons here being of such high video quality, but the instruction quality is something that an app simply can not substitute. If I have a question about a move from her lesson, I just ask and Veena will tell me what I need to do. No app will do that for you. I still look at the app every once in a while, since I have it, and it inspires me to do other things now that I know more of the mechanics behind the moves.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif
Bottom-line: In my opinion, nice app to start out and have around, but is not a substitute for proper instruction, by any stretch.
A side note abou the iPad: I am personally ALL apple products but I have a friend who has the app for her tablet, iPad knock-off, by samsung or whatever. It is almost just the same as the phone app. BUT, she also has studioveena lessons… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Had it, watched it about 3-4 times. Never opened it since. I prefer Veena’s lessons as Pocket Pole doesn’t have specific directions.
